( Taking The Game Away from India )

With the fall of Gilchrist, Dravid wanted to utilise that opportunity to get some regular wickets! But Ponting and Hayden ruined the hopes of Dravid completely and they are well settled to take the game in the direction of Aussies! Indian spectators have gone into silence and Coach in the dressing room was looking the most disappointed with the performance of bowlers, that too in the bowling track!

Hayden's Domination ~ No Solution for the Bowlers!

Hayden was looking very aggressive right from the start! He had few problems with Harbhajan in playing against the turn but got used to it later! He was placing the balls perfectly in the gaps and kept on accelerating the scorecard!

Hayden played some excellent shots all around the wicket! He played beautiful covrer drives(used effectively most of the times), sweep shots ( especially against Powar & Bhaji ) and pulled some rare delievries to boundaries!

Hayden used his footwork also very well and he was infact dancing at the crease very well and his confident level never dropped right from the start of the innings!

Ponting ~ Skipper's Responsible Knock!

Hayden was very well supported by his skipper Ponting in other end! Ricky Ponting was also smashing the bad deliveries to the boundaries! More important thing was that, he was trying to get runs from the evry ball he faced and rarely went for defensive strokes!

Ponting used his feet very well against Bhaji and Powar! He played some comfortable sweepshots agaisnt spin with the turn! Also he played some cover drives and straight drives well! Only shot he did not attempt was, Ponting's typical pull shot thats also responsible for his dismissal many times! He was very watchful and his intensions were very clear that he wanted to accelerate as much as he can and to give a solid support to aggressive partner in other end!

Hayden's Comeback Century!

Hayden finally brought his century in style with a huge six off Sreesanth! He raised his bat proudly towards the dressing room and proved Aussie selectors that he is 100% fit to play in ODIs with this magnificent century knock! He recieved well deserved from the spectators and Dravid was also applauding him externally but wanted Hayden to go to pavilion in his internal thoughts!

Dravid turned out to be a helpless spectator of the ball going everywhere! Indian skipper tried many alternates in field as well as in bowling! Dravid infact allowed Ganguly to bowl! But nothing was working for the Indian bowlers!

Bowling Stats

Ponting and Hayden are looking strong at the moment and 40 overs have ended! The last 10 overs which generally brings huge runs in ODIs, is definitely going to be a problem of India if these two batsmen are allowed to continue! So Indian bowlers have to be extremely alert not to give away anything silly!

" Is this going to be like WC2003 Finals?????? " has been the thinking of the spectators now especially among Indian fans!

India in a terrible situation, although harbhajan has quite good figures so he could slow it down for 2 overs, I guess, Aussies will be looking to get 320-350. Fantastic presentation as always.

Hayden has been very much in control in this game, no rust on him. Ponting supporting him well too, this could be a huge total made by Australia if Hayden and Ponting stay in.

What a good idea to play him in the side Surendar .

Since none of the opening pairs were working i was thinking to get Hayden into the team XI and with the note of wfdu_ben91 regarding Hayden, it made me to think further and brought him inside the team
