Bond Troubles Tharanga! ( Threatening Start from Bond )
Shane Bond started his first ball in Champions Trophy and he had a great threatening first over! Tharanga was facing Bond.
First Ball :- Bond started with a great short pitched delivery that struck Tharanga's rib cage! What a way to start the match.. Tharanga was in pain for few minutes but everything seemed to be normal after that. Jayasuriya immediately had few words with Tharanga to be careful.
Second Ball :- It was moving away from the left hander and Tharanga let that delivery to wicket keeper. There was a good movement of the ball.
Third Ball :- Once again a bouncer.. Tharanga tried to pull it off and the ball seemed to have edged to keeper but the replay showed that ball missed the bat marginally! There was half shout from Bond and the wicket keeper but umpire was unmoved. Replay showed that it was a good decision.
Fourth Ball :- Attempted an yorker and Tharanga safely played an defensive shot. It seemed tough to get rid of Bond having only faced four balls though!
Fifth Ball :- Once again, slight movement offered and Tharanga was decieved once again. Bond was not able to believe that the ball missed the edge of the bat! He gave Tharanga, a sarcastic smile.
Sixth Ball :- It was a straight delivery around 149kmph and Tharanga played straight to the fielder. It was the first shot played freely by Tharanga in the whole over.
It was a threatening start by kiwis but the threatening batsman ( Jayasuriya ) is yet to face the Kiwi bowlers! Franklin is likely to continue the next over! It seems Franklin was given prefernce over Mills to get some movement from Franklin early on as Mills wud be good with both new and old balls!

Lankans Struggle from Kiwi Pacers! ( Bond Gets Tharanga )
Kiwi bowlers, Bond & Franklin seemed to enjoy a lot in bowling. It was completely opposite of last match where bowlers struggled to pitch the ball in line in Chennai. But here in Jaipur, its so far looks like a bowler's day. Bond especially was troubling both the openers! Franlin was getting nice movement also in other end.
Jayasuriya, Struggles With Pace & Movement!
Its very rare to see the fast bowers enjoying in Indian conditions, but today its happening. Bond was playing with the ball infact, with great pace! His 145+ kmph deliveries along with the movement teased the batsmen many times and both, Jayasuriya & Tharanga were finding it difficult to score runs.
Franklin was getting the natural movement at the same time. He was enjoying bowling to the left handers. Moreover, Wicket Keeper is having a tough day behind the stumps to cope up with the bowler's pace and movement. McCullum has done well so far though!
Tharanga ~ Bond's First Victim
Bond bowled an excellent delivery that moved away from the left hander, but Tharanga went on to play the delivery that resulted in the sharp edge making the ball to move towards the second slip, Fleming. He took the catch at ease making Tharanga to walk back to pavilion.
Bond striked with the important wicket of Tharanga and the entire NZ team were celebrating that dismissal. Tharanga was not happy while walking back. But its over. Marvan Atapattu replaced Tharanga at the crease.
Now Lankans have to be careful and shd try playing 15 overs without loosing wickets to prevent further damage. The Pitch might settle down as it gets used to! Meanwhile, NewZealand bowlers are trying to utilise the maximum from the fresh wicket!

Bond Magic On SriLanka ( Atapattu Goes For Duck )
Its Bond creating all sorts of trouble for Lankans. Lankan batsmen are clueless of Bond's magic. Bond once again striked for Kiwis with the important wicket of Marvan Atapattu.
Bond delivered a quick bouncer after teasing Atapattu with out swingers. Frustrated Atapattu went on to play a pull shot but unfortuanetly, it was mistimed resulting in the bottom edge, forcing the ball to move towards the stumps. It managed to take the bails off resulting in the wicket of Atapattu!
Atapattu was not happy with himself and even Lankan dressing room was not happy with him to play that impatient shot which seemed to be unnecessary for the current situation. Atapattu made his way towards the dressing room with his head down. Bond and his team mates, on other end, was jumping with joy celebrating the wicket.
SriLankan skipper, Jayawardena replace Atapattu in the crease. This pair, Jayasuriya and Jayawardena have to work hard to restore the lost balance! SriLankan fans have gone to silence but expecting this pair to develope some partnership.
Just like to inform that, Bond got Jayasuriya's wicket in 9th Over by slip catch of Fleming similar to Tharanga, but the system got hanged up suddenly before that over itself I had to restart the system! So i resumed playing from the previous over where I saved which means that Jayasuriya is still batting!
Unlucky Bond to miss three wickets hold!
EDIT :- I considered that as a no ball dismissal and resumed the play!

Jayasuriya Restores the Balance ( NO Wickets For Last 10 Overs )
Sanath Jayasuriya who was uncomfortable from the start, is now getting used to the pitch conditions and started to free his arms trying to play his natural game. He was still uncomfortable against Bond but long spell of Bond which was for 6 overs came to an end finally! Franklin was also impressive and like Bond, he also bowled 6 overs. Fleming made the bowling change of Mills and Oram to continue the momentum left by opening bowlers.
Jayasuriya seemed to be comfortable against these bowlers ( Oram & Mills ) and played in much more relaxed manner than the first 10 overs. Sanath played some cracking shots in off side and there was something to enjoy now for Lankan fans.
Jayawardena, in other end, was giving a patient support to his partner and was picking singles most of the time trying to keep Jayasuriya on strike! Jayawardena scored only one boundary so far but this pair looked solid compared to previous pairs. Jayasuriya playing the main role in this pair while 20 Overs came to an end.
Good News for Lankan dressing room is, NO wickets have been lost for last 10 Overs and all they expect now from this pair is, to keep on accelerating the scorecard without loosing wicket for next 10 overs atleast!

Jayasuriya Takes The Control ( Jayawardena Satisfied with Singles )
This pair ( Jayawardena and Jayasuriya ) took the control from Kiwi bowlers and its now looking completely opposite from the situation of Lankans in first ten overs! Both these batsmen are looking comfortable at the crease.
Jayasuriya, Playing an Rescue Role!
Jayasuriya started threatening the bowlers now. He played several beautiful shots all around the ground and NZ skipper, Fleming was confused in setting the fielding for this man. After getting used to the pitch condition, there were no problems for Lankan batsmen ( Mahela & Sanath ) now.
Vettori was introduced but the pitch seemed to be helpless for the spin and Vettori was taken off from the attack after bowling just 3 overs. Fleming was not satisfied with the bowling of Vettori and he kept Styris & Oram on instead.
Styris and Oram did not help to create further damage.. Also, the batsmen were finding easily to rotate singles. Jayasuriya who was playing magnificently , reached his half century with a boundary! He raised his bat to the crowd and recieved warm applauses from everyone. Even after his half century, Jayasuriya was kept on continuing his good form and bowlers wanted this wicket badly!
Jayawardena, In defensive mood!
In other end, Jayawardena was playing an patient innings making sure that he is playing an supprotive role to his partner! His approach of taking singles and giving strikes to Jayasuriya kept Sanath on strike most of the times. Jayawardena has scored only two boundaries so far and remaining runs came in running.
But this pair, is looking very solid overall and crossed 100 Runs partnership also. Well 35 Overs ended and still this pair is batting which is a good news for Lankan dressing room. What a twist this has been to the game! Initially Bond seemed to destroy Lankan innings but later on it was Jayasuriya with the solid support of Lankan skipper, changed the direction completely!

Huge Blow: Jayasuriya Departs! ( Bond Magic Continues )
Fleming after some frustration, brought his trump card back.. i.e, Shane Bond was introduced for the second spell. Infact it worked well for NewZealand. Bond striked very first over of the second spell, that also with the huge wicket of Sanath Jayasuriya!
Jayasuriya who was looking aggressive tried to pull the short pitched delivery of Bond but it resulted in the bottom edge & the ball moved towards the stumps and managed to take the bails off. This has been a second time that Bond is getting the wicket of bottom edge from the short pitched delivery. Jayasuriya was not able to believe his dismissal and he stood there staring at his bats and the stumps.
Meanwhile, NZ team started celebrating the wicket. Bond was very much excited to get his third wicket. well, he has been the only bowler so far to create damage to SriLanka. Jayasuriya with great disappointments walked towards the pavilion and Sangakkara replaced Jayasuriya at the crease to join the Lankan skipper.
Also, this pair has done lots to Lankan team and Lankan fans are expecting this pair to do some magic to put SriLanka in strong position. Also Jayasuriya recieved standing applauses while returning to dressing room! What an innings this has been, that too under lots of pressure! Well done Sanath
Now the pressure mounts on this pair ( Sangakkara and Mahela ) to finish off the Lankans innings in good position.
