Long time has gone.... Now I am bit relieved of college works... So i want to continue this thread!!!

Will anyone be interested if i still continue from the same spot where i left ??? or Should i start a new series ???

SCHEDULE & SQUADS ANNOUNCED FOR DLF CUP!!!

The Squads for India,Australia and WestIndies were announced... And also all the three teams arrived in Malaysia for the important series with Champions Trophy ahead!!!

The Schedule for the series is as follows,

Round 1

1) WestIndies Vs Australia
2) India Vs WestIndies
3) Australia Vs India

Round 2

4) WestIndies Vs Australia
5) India Vs WestIndies
6) Australia Vs India

Finals : Yet to be Announced!!!​

So this includes the two rounds of matches between the teams and the top two teams after Round2 will qualify for the final!!!

Squads :-​

Indian Squad now has the inclusion of Sourav Ganguly after the superb performance in WestIndies eventhough the match was abandoned!!! But Ganguly playing in top 11 is lloking like a tough task!!! Ramesh Powar is also iincluded after some good performances in past ODI series!!!

Australian Squad is looking very Strong with Glen McGrath making his return aftea a long time!!! But Still there is tough competition between Gillespie,Clarke,Lee & Braken to be in Top11 to open the bowling with McGrath...

The squad for WestIndies is also an competitive one with Brian Lara and Gayle holding the main Key!!! Lawson and O.Banks are also given chances in ODI squad for this series!!!


With the three great teams competing, there is going to be more excitement in this Series!!! This is the last series before Champions trophy and so its important for all the three teams to play well to carry the confidence level to the next big tournament in India!!!

First of all i want to inform that, as this is going to be a triangular series, in case of Australia And Windies matches, i wud be playing as Australia but with the less details compared to Indian Matches as I dont want to simply post the scores of Aussie Vs Windies matches!!!




First Match :- WesT Indies Vs Australia

Weather & Pitch Report :-

Due to the frequent rainfall here, the outfield is slow and also some uneven low bounces are to occur in the pitch.. Due to the overcast condition, the ball is likely to move a bit and its better for the team to know the target and chase it!!!!

Toss :- Australia won the toss and elected to field.

Early Frustrations for Australia​

G.McGrath started the DLF cup with the new ball and he was very unlucky... The batsmen both Gayle and Ramdin who opened for Windies got edges and both went for the boundaries... Both the batsmen were unlucky as the ball was going in an safe direction away from slips after getting an edge!!!

LUCKY BOUNDARIES

Mcgrath however lost his temper when he was edged for second time in the same over..The batsman was Gayle... Mcgrath showed some signs of Frustration to Gayle who remained silent... Soon Ponting came and exchanged few words with the bowler.

LOOSING TEMPER

Brett Lee shared the new ball with McGrath.. He started off with a superb delivery forcing Ramdin to leave that to keeper!!! Lee was tempting the batsman to go at the delivery and was successful in one of the deliveries!!!

EDGE CARRIED TO KEEPER

Ramdin attempted to play on offside and got an thick edge.. The ball was moving to the first slip but Gilchrist made an outstanding dive and managed to catch the ball... That was an excellent effort by Gilchrist dismissing Ramdin!!!

Brian Lara is the new batsman replacing Ramdin at the crease!!!
