Well, with Windies placed in nice position, Lara & Gayle did allow the scoring rate to fall below 6 per over! They looked very comfortable and kept on accelerating the scoring rate! It looked as if, Lara wants to finish this off quickly!

Lara Blasts!

Like his Partner, Lara also started freeing his arms and even singles were resulting from the aggressive shots! This kept on applying the pressure on the fielders! Stuart Clarke was given chance once again but the result remained the same... Aussie bowlers were not even able to contain these two batsmen and Ponting was completely not satisfied with the performance of his team on the field!

Lara played some excellent shots and he now took the responsibility of firing allowing the tired Gayle,who was nearing his century, to take rest for some time..... Also the required rate was dropping slowly because of the fast scoring rate!

Gayle ~ Superb Century!

On the other end, Gayle finally raised his bat for his marvellous century! he recieved a standing appreciation from the Windies spectators & also everyone in the dressing room applauded for his valuabe efforts that has made Windies comfortable now!

Well, nothing seems to be going right for Aussies at the moment and Ponting is almost confused of what to do now!

Windies On Victory Platform!
( WI Require 51 Runs to lift the DLF Trophy!)​

Gayle and Lara have almost done the job of taking their Windies in Victory Platform! These two never looked to stop blasting! Whatever the line was bowled, Gayle and Lara were able to find the gaps easily and also boundaries!

Lara reached his half century and raised his bat towards the crowd! This was an amazing captain's innings that too in the finals! What a innings by Lara in right time when Windies needed him

McGrath and Lee were also brought back again but was of no use! Inspite of the defensive fielding, the boundaries were coming in regular intervals! There were some misfields also due the huge pressure on Aussie fielders!

Ponting ~ Disappointed Skipper!

Ponting had no clue of where these batsmen are hitting! He was very busy in the filed adjusting the fielding and changing the bowlers but nothing went in Aussies favour! Ponting seems to be very disappointed and even the coach from Aussie dressing room was disappointed!

Symonds was also introduced by the skipper thinking that it would produce some changes but Windies was not even affected to a small extent and Gayle & Lara seemed to grow stronger and stronger!


Aussie fans on other side turned to silence! All they can think is, " Its a bad Day for Aussies! "

The fact is, in DLF ( in story ), Windies have won Aussies both the times and have lost only one game against India so far! Aussies have won both the times again India!

This is what will happen even in real life, if Gayle and Lara strike together Also i observed everytime in all interviews(real life) whenevr Aussie play Windies, Lara say " Aussies are beatable "! Those words are becoming true i guess atleast in the story! Anyways 15 overs remaining! Lets see what happens!

This is an excellent story Surendar, good work by Gayle and Lara in almost assuring a victory for the Windies.
