India's tour of Australia - December/January 2015

That's an immature response, poking your nose in between..

Don't worry... I take that comment from Epic as "complimentary". :D

Thanks for your comment. I know I tend to write a lot because I like to put all my thoughts together even if it takes more time. When I was in college, I used to write movie reviews on a website for certain Indian films. I enjoyed doing it! (I know how funny it sounds now). :)

Clearly you don't know what I was referring to in my "article".

I don't know if you remember, but I think it was the IPL 2014 thread, someone was giving you stick for the length of your posts, calling them essays, that's what I was referring to, I by no means was calling your posts essays or poking fun at you...

Waiting for it however I am sure it would be something like
Murali Vijay,Shikhar Dhawan,Gautam Gambhir,Rohit Sharma,Cheteshwar Pujara,Virat Kohli,Ajinkya Rahane,M S Dhoni,W Saha,R Ashwin,R Jadeja,Bhuvaneshwar Kumar,Mohammad Shami,Umesh Yadav,Varun Aaron,Ishant Sharma,Stuart Binny.

Not too sure about Gambhir and Binny.I would select Binny just as an option if things go wrong.Gambhir is not in his old touches, yes, but his performance in Duleep Trophy may attract the eyes of selectors plus he got experience and did perform well in the ODI series in the 2012 tour.

Good thing you selected Rahul. He is do a good opener.
Disagrees with you on not selecting Jadeja,he has got experience in these conditions and I think still the best alongside Ashwin. Also why is Shami not picked? He is one good seamer we got and sees no reason for dropping him.

Well to be honest if we have to play two spinners, I would rather we didn't go at it half way with a bits and pieces player. Mishra is a leggie and a much better bowler than Jadeja.

As for Shami, he was terrible in the tests in England. He seems to enjoy the ODIs, but in tests he has been a bit of a let down off late.

Ok with Jadeja but Shami?I am sure we should give him some experience on the Australian pitches with the WC coming.

I would also take KL Rahul to Australia as the backup opener. I have no faith whatsoever in Gambhir or Sehwag being our backup openers. We need to find good backup openers for our test side. Maybe KL Rahul can even become a frontline opener ahead of one of our current guys - Vijay and Dhawan.

Hope they take Yadav this time instead of Pankaj Singh. A bowling attack of Shami, Yadav, Aaron, Ishant and Bhuvi sounds pretty good. Frankly Bhuvi should play less in Australia because here conditions are not expected to suit him as much as it did in England. Ishant should play most games, followed by Shami and one of either Yadav or Aaron.
