India's tour of West Indies June 2011

Looks like we might not change our bowling attack for the next test unless the wicket there is a pacy one (which is unlikely). Munaf and Mithun can sit on the bench for some more time.
Bridgetown might often be good for batting, but it isn't ever likely to offer a spinner's paradise. If anything, it's a chance to bring the third seamer in and try to develop them a bit.

Ishant's delivery to Rampaul on which he got him out was a brilliant one, loved it and even a world class batsman would have a hard time facing it.:thumbs

Good win for India. I expect a 2-0 or 3-0 win for India.

Praveen performed well because he was bowling to perhaps the weakest batting line up in test cricket. His 75 MPH outswingers are not going to worry better batsmen. He is not a test standard bowler by any stretch of imagination and is just filling the gap of Zaheer khan.

Nah now way is the WI team even without Gayle the weakest in test cricket right now. I would definitely rate it above PAK & NZ.

WI bats are just not playing to potential mainly because of outside pressure.

On Kumar although i dont rate him much either, i think he answered a few questions about his ability to swin the red-ball, which makes me think in English conditions he could be useful.

Victory still wasn't possible without Harbhajan though. But we expected opposite from him to contribute in victory.

The contribution he made to this victory is quite a heavy one. Without that innings, I would dare say we would have lost the match. So I would take that over his average bowling performance.

Good thing is that we have a lot of overseas tours in the next 6-8 months, so Ishant's coming back to form is a huge plus for us. Hopefully by the end of this series, he would be back to being India's 2nd best bowler after Zaheer Khan and the first choice to partner Zaheer at Lord's.

Munaf is out.... Its Mithun to be 3rd Seamer:yes

Glenn Mcgrath of India is not playing yet again :noway Looks like it is going to be a pacy wicket. Hopefully India will bat second or else we are gonna see some low score. The young players do not seem to handle pace well.

Good chance for Mithun to show his skills on a helpful wicket. He toiled hard on the hapless Sri Lankan wickets where India toured Sri Lanka last time. This time on a juicy Keningston pitch, hope Mithun grabs the opportunity with both hands.

Mithun.... Being a Bangalorean I myself have started losing hopes on this district quality bowler :mad...still has a long way to go in bridging FC and Internationals :noway...and by the time he bridges, his career will be over....:p

Of what you saw of him in IPL? Some bowlers are not cut out for certain formats. Mithun did pretty well in Sri Lanka in those test matches we played in SL. And those were on wickets that were batsman friendly
