Yes, his batting and aggressive nature in test along with Virat's current flow would have put an end to South Africa for this match. Looks like only Kohli practiced (even though he practiced least) and came ready for this test matches. Ok I will give KL a leeway. This is the last we should see Shreyas in the XI in tests. We sure should have better batsman in domestic who have less of a weakness compared to plethora Shreyas has.


Also as soon as I saw this https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/...sign-off-with-2-nil-win-against-india-1415249 where Elgar said the word World Cup, I knew South Africa would botch this test up. Shame that they might lose this, I am only saying might is because 2 whole innings remain. I would have loved seeing a India thrashing here with Rohit retiring, Iyer kicked out and a new era of test cricket starting for India under some other leadership.

Horrendous pitch and far too often countries like England, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia get away from preparing atrocious pitches. Also this should be Jadeja's last test as well. Lets lose some tests in the next 2 years not qualify for WTC while build a team from scratch.

Rohit’s still fine in tests, he was handling the new ball effortlessly. Should give us time to decide if we want Gill at three or as the opener.
