Pjtch : 2 - Good Batting Wicket (becoming 3 - Normal Pitch in first session of Day 2)

Weather: 2 - Hot and Sunny

West Indies made full use of perfect batting conditions, as most of their batsmen gained valuable batting practice against an experienced attack.

Greenidge and Haynes added 58 for the first wicket fairly easily, before Greenidge was bowled by Tauseef for 41.

Gomes and Haynes took the score to 106 before Haynes was out bowled by left arm seamer Azeem Hafeez for 57.

Haynes had earlier brought up his 50 off 80 balls.

Gomes and Lloyd built another partnership, before Gomes was out for bowled by Hafeez for 42 with the score at 186/3.

Lloyd reached 50 off 82 balls.

That brought Logie to the wicket, and he joined Lloyd in the most attractive batting of the innings, Lloyd was eventually out on 87 bowled by the experienced Sikander Bakht with the score on 263/4

Logie was eventually out for 52, having reached his 50 off 86 balls, an easy caught behind off Sikander Bakht.

In a dramatic finish, Saleem Malik was out to the final ball of the last over of the final day to hand the West Indians victory by 144 runs.

Holding was again amongst the wickets, claiming 3 more to take his match haul to 11-119 and he was named Man of the Match.

Harper bowled well, enjoying the spinning conditions, to claim 3 wickets, while Roberts also impressed.

I restarted my West Indies tour of Pakistan after I noticed a few mistakes in player ratings I had entered.
I also wanted to use a larger West Indies squad, and the campaign injury rules for more variation in team lineups.
So here goes.

West Indies Squad for the 6 Test and 5 ODI tour of Pakistan in 1983:

C.G.Greenidge, D.L.Haynes, R.S.Gabriel, R.B.Richardson, I.V.A.Richards, H.A.Gomes, C.H.Lloyd, A.L.Logie, P.J.L.Dujon, M.R.Pydanna, E.A.Baptiste, R.A.Harper, M.D.Marshall, M.A.Holding, J.Garner, A.M.E.Roberts, W.W.Daniel, W.W.Davis, C.G.Butts

First match is a 50 over game against a Baluchistan XI, both teams clear to play with no injuries.
