Once again Kolkata has ended up picking a squad full of dud players.

I don't know what expertise people like Balaji, or Unadkat would bring to the team, but what I do know is that it would have been much better had we aggressively bid for stars like Dale Steyn or Gayle, who went unsold anyway, instead of these players who are either too raw or out of international cricket for a time too long for one's liking. (like Lee or Balaji)

There are also people like Manoj Tiwary, who despite showing promise, are struggling to leave a mark in this format of the game.

And not choosing to retain Sourav was a poor decision from a marketing perspective.
Considering the euphoria surrounding Dada in Bengal, expect the ticket sales to be halved this year. He was the single main attraction of the KKR games, which were high on hype and low on proper displays of cricket by our cricketers.

With KKR again in the dire need of a proper strike bowler, my prediction is that this one hugely overhyped team will be biting the dust yet again.

Rossouw has got great stats. I can't follow South African domestic season that ardently but his stats show it all.

He is a brilliant talent. At times gets himself out by trying to be too aggressive, doesn't really need to do it. If he bats for any length of time he will score at a decent rate just through normal cricket shots.

He has the fastest triple century by any player in domestic first class cricket in SA.
