Is it right Liverpool have been entered into next seasons Champions League

Following the announcement by UEFA that Liverpool are to be entered into next seasons Champions League qualifying round, what are people's thoughts on this.

Your choices are simple

Yes, they should be entered into Champions League
Yes they should be entered but at a later stage
No they should have been entered into the UEFA Cup

I think UEFA made the right decision, they don't deserve automatic qualification because the did bad in the premiership but you have to at least give them the chance to qualify because you've got to have the defending champions playing.

Couldn't agree more the fact that you can get to the champions league by finishing forth is rediculous also it cheapens the Uefa cup

Well, I'm a Liverpool fan, so I obviously have a quite biased view of it. I believe we should have been entered a bit later in the competition (3rd qualifying round or group stages).

Overall, I'm just happy we're in .

I am also a Liverpool fan, I think its right that the Champions of Europe are allowed to defend their title, the way it is at the moment it seems it is more prestigious to finish 3rd or 4th in a domestic league than to win the top competition in Europe, lets hope the rules are clarified and changed for the future, as for where Liverpool will join (provisionally) I think its an acceptable compromise, besides gives fans more games to watch
