He's still nowhere near close to be the oldest test debutant and it 2 year younger than what Australia's oldest debutant was.
We've given Holland a fair go with McGain out although we didn't pick him for the final.Well we have wasted 2 test to get him in. Needs to at least be given a go before the Ashes as we saw how much of an impact spin can have on the Ashes in England last time round.
As for blooding young spinners, it would help if the state sides would actually play spinners so that the selectors have something to go on. Only Tassie use their spinner most games especially when they got Krejza back. Guess you could say NSW do but Casson seems to be a sinking ship. The other states use their part timers none of whom the selectors would be confident in.
Probably the easiest move they have had to make all tour. Good to see him in, the pitch should suit him so can't wait to see how he goes.
