Ye big man that. I know it won't happen, but i'd love to see him in an Italy team again in partnership with Pirlo as it was during the 2006 world-cup. The ultimate registra/trequartista partnership that was.

A real legend. :clap

Juve nine points clear (of second placed Napoli) at the top then. Honestly feel Milan albeit being 11 points adrift of Juve will give the latter a better run for their money in the Scudetto title race than those Chokopolitans from Naples.

Also Cavani's now gone around 630 minutes without scoring. Has directly impacted Napoli's god-awful form of late. Missed a penalty kick yesterday, while trailing 2-0 at Chievo.

The Italian Chelsea, but only a lot more extreme. Wasn't he the guy who dealt with Pastore's and Cavani's transfer?

(GK): Buffon (Juventus), De Sanctis (Napoli), Marchetti (Lazio), Sirigu (PSG)

(DEF): Bonucci, Chiellini, Barzagli (JUV), Abate, De Sciglio (Milan), Astori (Cagliari), Ranocchia (Inter), Maggio (Napoli), Antonelli (Genoa)

(MID): Marchisio, Pirlo, Giaccherini (JUV), Montolivo (MIL), De Rossi (ROM), Candreva (LAZ), Diamanti (BOL), Poli (SAM), Cerci (TOR)

(ST): Balotelli, El Shaarawy (MIL), Osvaldo (ROM), Gilardino (BOL), Giovinco (JUV)

How Osvaldo and Giaccherini keep getting picked time and again, I'll never know!

Anyway, my Azzurri XI v Brazil at Geneva on 21/03 (3-5-2):

-----------------Buffon--------
------Barzagli---De Rossi----Chiellini-----
Maggio--Montolivo--Pirlo---Marchisio----De Sciglio
---------Gilardino/SES------Balotelli-----------

So excited for De Sciglio. Cracking talent, who can play LB as well as RB!

Verratti is injured btw.

Ye the Osvaldo one is odd, especially when Cassano is still being overlooked. Although as you found out Haarithan, coach Prandelli seemed to suggest he wants to try other striker options in the qualifies, but will likely take Cassano to the world cup.

I thought Peluso would get a call up. Has looked good since he went to Juve playing in the back 3 or left-wing back.

Good points regarding Cassano and Peluso. De Sciglio is on a whole another level though. Injuries have single handedly delayed his inevitable call up to La Nazionale.

In other news, Francesco Totti is perfection redefined. Those who haven't followed the Roma game tonight atleast try viewing an extended highlights package of the same, solely for the god that is Totti. Goal #226 to become Serie A's all time second highest scorer, and a number of orgasmic back-heels in a truly monstrous performance. Prandelli has to convince him to come out of retirement this summer!

Relief coming from the old man himself:

"Against Tottenham, Cassano was extraordinary, like many other times. I repeat, everyone is under consideration. Look at Di Natale last cycle, nobody thought I would call him and then I did. When I say something, it's because I believe it.

Totti? If this continues I take him to the World Cup."

- Cesare Prandelli

Now that is encouraging for sure. If Super Mario/The Pharaoh are going to be young strike partnership that will lead the line to the world-cup & the next decade. Potentially have Cassano & Totti again as the experience back-ups in the world cup squad would be perfect.
