John Wright to quit

India does need a foreign coach.
how about jonty rhodes for fielding
he had mentioned it once.
steve waugh would be a better choice .
anyhow the indians would be looking for an aussie.
greg chappel would be the next one thats my bet

yup mate i feel indians will go for greg chappel coz ganguly is a gr8 admirer of greg chappel. even when he was out of form he met greg for some tips on batting.

so all the more reason that ganguly would back greg chappel as india's next coach

i too agree at the end when everthing is sorted out finaaly we will see as Greg as coach

Fare well time for John!, feel pretty sorry!, he is doing wonderful job for INDIA currently!, rejuvenating the team!, Is BCCI can't given a extension for his job? or john retires himself?, i donno!

Think Javed Mianded as India Coach!, just joking!,

My choice is Batting - Sunny/Greg chappel/Geoffrey?

Bowling - Wasim akram/Kapil Dev

Fielding - One and Only Jonty!

Have u'r say!,

Cheers

Boss

John says he's quitting due to personal problems & it is not connected with the board or the team.

I think splitting up batting, bowling and fielding is stupid, as I've mentioned before. Not to mention expensive (although the BCCI can afford it). For fielders, I don't think you can actually teach them to field--most of the current crop know how to dive around and stuff (except maybe Nehra) so what you want is to keep them on top fitness. Perhaps you can give them tips on how to hit the stumps and stuff, because that's what we don't have. But why would we really need a fielding coach? Why split the job? Find one guy who is good enough to manage the team and inspire them. At this level you do not really need to teach skills to the cricketers.

Some one needs to make guys like Ganguly, Laxman, Kumble and Nehra show more importance in fielding. Others are fine with Kaif and Yuvraj brilliant!!

If Greg comes, then may be Ganguly can come out of the rut he is in now and score runs!!!

They need to be shown more importance in fielding? Laxman, Kumble and Ganguly are past their prime and their fitness levels are only decreasing. Nehra just sucks at fielding but being a fast bowler he can be excused. I don't see the point of having a fielding coach--what can he teach you? A fielding coach is more applicable in the junior levels when you are still learning the skills of cricket. For example how to dive, how to judge a catch, how to aim correctly for the stumps. At this level of cricket that should be a given and I think for the most part it is. Apart from that, fielding depends mainly on physical fitness.

This is what I don't get. The article says clearly John Wright, and yet you write John Right twice. Why?

There is one or two mistakes over there and here and some one should not yell,And say"Why did you made a mistake?"
