Gloucestershire v Kent - C&G Trophy - Bristol
2nd Innings

Spearman and Marshall walk to the crease with Gloucestershire needing 7.86 runs per over.

12th Over

After a bright start by Gloucestershire the first change of bowlers does the trick for Kent and in his first over Kemp gets the wicket of the dangerman Spearman. Gloucestershire are 51/1.

23rd Over

Gloucestershire shut up shop, they just dont seem to be even trying to score now. Hall and Kemp have kept their spells very tight for Kent and soon after Ferley is brought on the second wicket falls as Harvey is c&b for 17.

Robert Key, trotts off the field and is seen heading for the refreshment stall, he is horrified to find a young local cricketer in the crowd has beaten him there and eaten the entire stock of pasties. He also refuses to comment when asked what he thought of Lewis being voted Man of the Match.

Kent's win (by 296 runs) keeps them firmly at the top of the standings.

Wow a c&b dismissal, first time I have actually seen on in cricket07. Loving the story so far mate :D Hopefully Kent can maintain their 100% record.

well done on securing the victory in more than adequate style, good luck in your next game

I can deal with just about everything like Lewis bowling 20 odd overs, Gloucestershire failing to even try and chase the total, but I am afraid this game takes the biscuit if it it's possible to score a 50 with Geraint Jones

not his biggest fan then?

and at your signature- maybe im the 1 in 100:D

He scored a century earlier in the story too :p

Not like I checked or anything, but during the 2006 season he did score 3 50's in first class cricket in real life and 1 in oneday ;)

Hampshire v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - The Rose Bowl
Day 1 - 1st Session

Kent return to Southampton to face Hampshire, this time in the championship. Hampshire will be keen to take revenge for their C&G defeat and on a Sunny day win the toss and decide to get first use of a good wicket.

It takes Kent about an hour and a quarter to take the first wicket as Kemp bowls Adams

Kevin Pietersen joins Michael Brown at the crease and the pair make it until just before lunch before Brown is caught by van Jaarsveld, giving Joseph his first Wicket. Hampshire are 35/2.

Hampshire fail to add to their score before the lunch break.

Hampshire v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - The Rose Bowl
Day 1 - 2nd Session

Another session where watching paint dry is preferable to watching the cricket. Kent took 2 wickets in the session, both towards the end.

The first was the wicket of big hitter Kevin Pietersen, although anyone watching this match will wonder why people call him that. The introduction of Ferley into the attack paid dividends as KP charged down the track and missed the ball completely.

Shortly afterwards Thornley edged a ball from Hall to wicket keeper O'Brien.

Hampshire are 64/4 at tea.

Nice to see KP back in the pavilion. Should wrap them up for a low score - like usual.

Probably, I've given up trying to get batsmen out (They do that by themselves). I'm trying everything to get them to score and not just block, but not having much luck.
