Crawley and Burrows continue after lunch and soon Crawley reaches his half century.

But at approximatley 2:15 the partnership is broken, Hall making the breakthrough for Kent.

Burrows follows soon after, Hall striking again and removing Burrows middlestump.

Kent look rejuvinated and strike again, Tremlett is back in the pavillion after edging a ball to O'Brien on 2.

Ferley is next to pick up a wicket, Bruce comes down the wicket but misses and is dismissed for 1.

Hampshire slump to 190 all out when Taylor (defending a ball from Khan)edges a ball back onto his stumps.

There's time for a few overs before the tea break and Hampshire make an early breakthrough when in the second over Fulton edges to the wicketkeeper.

Kent are 13/1 at tea with Walker on 7 and Key 3.

Day 2 - 3rd Session

Walker and Key return to the crease and add 20 runs before Walker edges to the slips on 19.

Martin van Jaarsveld is next in. He too fails to build on a good start and is caught on 23, another edge. Hampshire are definatley making good use of the new ball here.

Warne decides he'll have a bowl himself and Kent aren't looking to attack him, Hall however misreads a delivery and is trapped LBW for 19.

Kemp walks out to partner Key. Kent need a partnership here, 3 batsmen have thrown away their wickets after good starts and Key will be running out of partners soon. The Kent captain brings up his half century with the last ball of the day and Kent are 124/4.

Day 3 - 1st Session

Day 3 starts where day 2 left off, Key and Kemp are batting well and Warne is bowling well. However Warne decides to take himself out of the attack immediatley after Kemp starts to attack him.

In the 50th over the pair reach their 100 partnership and pass Hampshire's total. One over later and Kemp gets his fifty.

Kemp fails to convert his half century into a really big score when he mis-times and is caught by Warne on 62. It was a rash shot and Kemp is very unhappy with himself.

Stevens joins Key at the crease and soon Key makes his century.

The partnership is broken when Thornley traps Stevens leg before for 33.

Kent are 311/6 at lunch and have a lead of 121.

Sadly no. I've said before that my batting isnt all that hot, I'm playing with less patience than earlier in the story, this is more like what I usually play like, I put much more effort into my earlier games.

Rob Key reaches 150 after lunch but his milestone signals a collapse from Kent.

First O'Brien edges to the wicket keeper the very next ball after Key's 150.

Then Key drags one back onto his stumps and is out.

Joseph then goes first ball and Kent have gone from 325/6 with Rob celebrating his 150 to 325/9 in 4 balls.

Ferley and Khan take Kent past the 350 mark and at 2:39pm Key decides to declare on 353/9. Kent have a 1st Innings lead of 163.

Kent make an early breakthrough and with the score on 8, Brown is runout.

Kevin Pietersen walks to the crease and guides Hampshire to 22/1 at tea on day three.

Key definatley has a plan of attack to contain Pietersen, and that plan is Ferley. For the second time in the match Ferley bowls out Pietersen cheaply.

Adams is joined at the crease by Thornely. Its Adams who is struggling and he survives no less that 6 LBW appeals from Stevens before he is eventually runout from the bowling of Hall. His 12 runs taking him 120 balls.

Crawley and Thornely take Hampshire through to stumps with the score at 69/3.

warne bowled so few overs, but great going by kent expect them to win from here with 1 day and 1 session left
