Kent v Durham Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Canterbury
Day 2 - 1st Session

Play starts on time and Fulton and Walker score at a steady rate. Their 50 partnership comes up in the 11th over of the innings.

Durham slow things down as the operate with 2 spinners for most of the session without any great luck. A few overs before lunch Harmison returns and beats Fulton with a very good ball at 70/0.

Soon after Harmison gets his first wicket as Walker is caught on 41. Its a lazy shot and Breese takes a comfortable catch.

As so often is the way, you get one wicket and another follows. As Key is completely bamboozled leaving the score on 76/2.

Van Jaarsveld and Fulton settle the ship, and the score at lunch is 89/2. Kent are finding the batting hard work but will be confident of overtaking Durham's total in the next session.

Show 'em how it's done Kev! Lazy Durham didn't even bother to 'up it' at all. Blow them away Kev!

Great presentation.

I see you've discovered that tail-enders can't bat against spinners :p

come on kev and kent show harmison that he is as bad as he is in real life

A tip, try not to make the effect with the picture in the top left showing the dismissal...but it is not important.

Lovely presentation, good batting and in turn a good hands-on review of sorts of C2007

I prefer it with that
Lets us see how he's out :)

Great stuff Kev your really beating Durham at the moment :clap

No, I like the picture, just not that slight 3D effect on it.

But that is not important.

Day 2 - 2nd Session

Martin van Jaarsveld comes out after lunch and is in the mood to attack both Lewis and Harmison hitting them both around the park.

Fulton see's van Jaarsveld having much fun and decides to up the tempo himself hitting a big six. Unfortunatley he is caught the very next ball.

fultsoutto6.jpg

Andrew Hall joins Martin van Jaarsveld at the crease and the two look to build a partnership.

The pair go on to bat out the session and at tea the score is 220/3.

Kent v Durham - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Canterbury
Day 2 - 3rd Session

Hall and van Jaarsveld continue to build their partnership after lunch and its not too long before Hall reaches his 50.

hall50gy4.jpg

But not long afterwards Harmison breaks the partnership as Breese takes an excellent low down catch to dismiss hall for 60.

halloutcc6.jpg

Stevens replaces Hall and is off the mark with a beautifully timed four from his second ball. Stevens is definatley not in a mood to hang around.

Its not long before van Jaarsveld gets its century.

mvj100vb1.jpg

Stevens stay at the wicket is brief but at least it was entertaining. He is bowled by Collingwood on 17. Geraint Jones replaces him.

stevensouthv8.jpg

Jones' stay at the crease is even shorter as in the same over he is totally decieved by a slower ball and its an easy C&B for Collingwood. Its 286/6 now.

jonesoutrt2.jpg

Breese is replacing Collingwood and after a couple of overs he has a good shout for an LBW turned down against van Jaarsveld. He's not disheartened and the very next ball van Jaarsveld is given LBW. Gone for 104. He has been the backbone of the Kent's innings and at 301/7 now its unlikely they'll score many more.

mvjoutal4.jpg

Ferley and Kemp are together at the crease now and soon Scott is finally rewarded with a wicket as he bowls Kemp on 13. Its 306/8 now.

At this point fraps crashed on my PC so no more screen shots for this innings

Ferley and Tredwell put together a brief stand but Ferley is caught close in off the bowling of Harmison to take the score to 328/9. There is a certain Irony in the wicket as its almost a carbon copy of the sucess Ferley had in the Durham innings.

Scott grabs the final wicket as Treddwell edges to the keeper on 13 and with that wicket play ends for the day. Kent all out for 334.
