Kent v Durham - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Canterbury
Day 3 - 2nd Session

The second session of play started much the same as the first session ended. Nothing much of note happened until the 42nd over when Darren Stevens appealed for an LBW against Maher but it wasnt given.

The very next ball Stevens bowled Maher

Unfortunatley for Stevens his foot was over the line and a no ball was called.

But then at 3:18pm the first wicket of the day fell as Matt Walker did bowl Maher. The slightly slower pace of the delivery did the trick for Walker.

So with the score at 74/1 Collingwood came out to partner Lewis and the pair put on 10 runs together before tea.

Good score by Kent. And great realism, Kev, with Jones getting out for a duck. :p

I knew EA said the game was to be close to Cricket as possible, but thats just amazing ;)

Kev, you must have been bored for them 29 overs, bloody hell....

But the next update you found the offstump, and then lost it over the boundry as it was uprooted, great ball :p joyous occasion for you?

Great presentation, im really enjoying this story!

Kev, how can Matt Walker uproot a stump? :p

Anyway, nice presentation and looking for a Kent win. :happy

Kent will be pleased to pick up Maher, he is a very classy player. Stevens was unlucky but Walker got him in the end. Kent will now be looking to get some more wickets in the evening session. Nice presentation.

20 minutes later and Benkenstien is bowled by Ferley for just 1 run. The score is now 93/3.

Ben Harmison and Paul Collingwood are now at the crease. With the score on 98 another wicket falls as Collingwood is runout, its a direct hit to the stumps.

With only 1 run added another wicket falls as the Ferley/Fulton combination strikes to dismiss Muchall

Lowe fails to add to the score as Durham collapse.

Hall is replacing the devestating Ferley and gets an edge in his first over back, but the slip fielder cant quite get to it and it runs away for four.

Tredwell is next to strike, as Walker catches Ben Harmison to take the score to 105/7.

Breese follows next ball.

Tredwell makes it 3 wickets in the over as Steve Harmison heads back to the pavillion. Both Harmison brothers gone in the same over.

At 113 runs the Collapse is complete and Kent win by an innings and 99 runs and will enjoy the extra day off before facing Somerset in the C&G Trophy.

8 bowlers used and 7th one (Walker) getting a wicket.... Nice captaincy ( by Kev ) :)

Great presentation Kev!

EDIT : what a collapse! This time Tredwell/Walker combination! :happy

How can a team go from 92/1 to 113 all out, astonishing collapse. Fantastic bowling by Tredwell and a good win for Kent. Keep up the fantastic presentation.

I sensed the Durham batsmen were getting rather frustrated by lack of scoring oppurtunities and got out to silly shots.

WOW big collapse there and a really shoddy batting performance by Durham.
Good work by Kent but they will need that extra rest against Somerset ;)

Keep it up Kev :clap
A really enjoying read :cheers
