I hope Jones continues his batting form now, Walker's dismissal once again shows that EA can't make cricket games, the slips should bloody take those! :mad

Sussex v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Hove
Day 1 - 2nd Session

Stevens and Jones set about a Kent recovery and its not until 3:20pm that Sussex get the breakthrough. Montgomerie takes the catch from Naved-ul-Hasan's bowling to dismiss Stevens for 45. Kent are now 216/6.

Break the partnership and the other batsman falls. Jones is trapped LBW by Martin-Jenkins shortly afterwards for 44 as both batsmen fail to go on to make half centuries.

Sussex v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Hove
Day 1 - 3rd Session

Sussex will be hoping to wrap the Kent tail up quickly and their cause is strengthened, when just after tea, Henderson is runout for 14.

It looks all over for Kent when with just six runs added Patel edges.

With the score at 257, Kent are left with Khan and Joseph at the crease. Rather than just rolling over the pair frustrate the Sussex attack and soon put on 50 together and take Kent past 300.

Infact the pair go from strength to strength as Khan gets his fifty to bring up the 100 partnership.

In the same over Joseph reaches his fifty too.

Its not until the final over of the day that Sussex manage to break the partnership. Joseph is caught by Naved-ul-Hasan from the bowling of Lewry for 60, leaving Khan not out on 55 as Kent finish on 377. Sussex will be absolutley gutted that they let the last 2 batsmen topscore for Kent.

Soon after Kent get their second wicket wneh Patel bowls Montgomerie just 2 runs short of this fifty.

Patel gets his second wicket when Fulton shows his cat like reflexes to remove the Sussex captain.

Sussex v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Hove
Day 3 - 2nd Session

Progress is slow for Sussex after lunch and the Kent bowling attack isnt having much luck either until Key tosses the ball to Stevens. He promptly removes Yardy for 23.

w4rm8.jpg

The only other wicket to fall in the session is a runout, the second of the innings for Sussex. The score is now 129/5.

w5mt4.jpg

Martin-Jenkins and wicketkeeper Prior see Sussex through to tea with the score at 135/5. After the reasonable amount of runs in the first session, Sussex seem to have reverted to type.

Sussex v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Hove
Day 3 - 3rd Session

Tea came at just the wrong time for Sussex as with the third ball after the break Bravo takes his first wicket. Martin-Jenkins is out for 10 runs. van Jaarsveld takes the catch and Sussex are 136/6.

w6ud5.jpg

Bravo strikes again in the same over, dismissing Mushtaq Ahmed for a duck.

w7rb7.jpg

Prior is next to fall as Bravo gets his third wicket; Kent's first LBW of the season from pace bowling.

w8zg3.jpg

Naved-ul-hasan is out immediatley as Bravo takes his 4th wicket.

w9ej6.jpg

Bravo's clean sweep of the tail is complete when he bowls Lewry for a duck. Sussex are all out for 149.

Sussex v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Hove
Day 4 - 1st Session

With Sussex so far behind in the match and going on the way they batted in their first innings many of the spectators grudgingly expected to see Sussex bat out the day and try for a draw. They couldn't have been more wrong.

Sussex double their overnight score in two overs before they lose their first wicket.

w1rg4.jpg

Straight away they lose their second wicket when Goodwin is runout for 1.

w2nq0.jpg

Ward soon reaches his fifty.

ward50vv5.jpg

Adams' terrible match however is over pretty quickly. He comes down the wicket far too soon in his innings and is bowled by Patel for a duck.

w3ay4.jpg

Ward then goes without an increase in the scoreline.

w4sb6.jpg

Martin-Jenkins is next to fall, for 15. Giving Khan his fiirst wicket of the match.

w5kd2.jpg

Next to go is Yardy, he hits a ball high in the air and Bravo takes an easy catch.

w6hz3.jpg

Khan bags his second wicket removing Prior for 17 when Walker takes a catch.

w7nw9.jpg

Mushtaq Ahmed is next to fall. Joseph removes Ahmed's middle stump when amazingly he doesnt offer a shot to a yorker.

w8qt0.jpg

Henderson is next to get a wicket as Kent cut through the Sussex lineup.

w9nk0.jpg

Joseph gets Kirtley for 7 when Walker takes another catch to wrap up the Sussex innings, for 125, in just over an hour to give Kent victory by an innings and 103 runs.
