Down under I knew media pressure always works.
Here is another attempt at it
~~*~~~
Indian media is all behind the team making a lot of hype for the tri-series. Experts too have got involved:
News Anchor: Sunny, what do you think of this last minute inclusion of Harbhajan Singh? Does it have anything to do with him being in Punjab police and his 'strong' contacts withing BCCI?
Sunil Gavaskar: I can't comment on that but ya it certainly is a blessing in disguise. I hope he has practiced hard to make an impression on his comeback.
NA: What do you suggest, should he bowl quick in the air or slow it down a little?
SG: Well, for spinners varying the pace is the key. I think bowling on the 'sweet' spots regularly will be the key. Spinner is bound to be hit but he needs to be patient and stick to the plans. Smart field placings will play a major hand in the final result.
NA: What would be your starting XI for the game against.. mmm... *no fixtures released yet*.. the other two teams
SG: I say,
1) Gautti - anchor
2) Viru - flying start
3) Sachin - protagonist
4) Yuvi - hitter
5) VVS - accumulator
6) Dhoni(WK) - last resort
7) Irfan(AR) - back up plan
8) Bhajji - can bat too
9) Zak
10) Balaji
11) Ishant
Having a set target is a must when batting first otherwise greed can get the better of you. I think 180 should be enough and India should aim to get there by 19th over. 1 over for back up or to get those extra bonus runs.
NA: Any tips to face fast bowlers early in the innings?
SG: Go easy, get easy singles wherever possible. Don't take risky singles. With 1 batsman short, India can't afford to risk the limited resources they have. Waiting for FM/MF/Spinners will be the key. Fasts should not be targeted unless necessary.
NA: Any final words..
SG: Just go out and enjoy the game.. afterall that is why we play the game.. to Enjoy!
