Interstellar
Interstellar
Oscar deserves Leo.I think it's either gonna be Matt Damon (for Martian) or possibly Leo di Caprio (for Revenant) who'll win the best actor Oscar. Hopefully, this time Leo will win. He deserves an Oscar for his performance in the Revenant.
Groundhog Day !!
I just follow Oscars because they always pick great films. It's more about they make me a favor by selecting some outstanding movies which I can choose later.
Well, the word "always" is actually much. But honestly I'm kind of depended on Oscar nominations since late 2013. Usually, the highest grossing films would come into my consideration whenever I plan to watch movies because makers do bumper advertisement about them. But, not all highest grossing films provide a good topic, generally they're action or adventure movies. And I reckon gist of a film over drama. I'm a least attentive type guy when it comes to movies, that's why I don't get much idea about them earlier. Hence I check Oscars' lists and IMDB for suggestions. There had been a very few Oscar nominations based picks in past which I didn't like though. For instance, Gravity. Got way too bored watching that movie. However, I loved watching some of those, like Django Unchained, Life of Pi, Les Miserables, also Captain Phillips, Boyhood, American Sniper and more (including the most recent 12 years a slave). If you can suggest me a few good films, you're welcome anyways.Meh ! Half the nominated movies are usually so dry and dull, and the oscars almost always snub Great movies if they end up doing too much business. Plus politically motivated movies always get preference over "normal" movies
For instance: I still cannot understand how American Hustle and Captain Philips were nominated in 2014, while one of the best movies of that year, Rush was snubbed. Daniel Bruhl's portrayal of Nikki Lauda being snubbed for pretty boy Bradley Cooper (American Hustle) and Hollywood sweetheart Jonah Hill (Wolf of Wall Street) was a JOKE
And dont even get me started on the Academy's mistreatment of Di Caprio and repeated snubbing of Nolan
