We let them get too many in the first innings, and except for Andy Flower the batsmen didn't make the most of their starts, it was always going to be hard to win when we gave them a big lead on a poor pitch. We showed a lot of fight in the second Innings and the bowlers all tried hard. We come away with plenty of positives from the match.

Brilliant performances from Gordon Greenidge,Lance Gibbs and Garry Sobers totally turned the game around in favor of the West Indies.
Sobers was brutal and attacking with the bat and also had a bag full of tricks which dismantled the batsmen of Pakistan and played a very supportive role to the crafty off-spinner Lance Gibbs who was the chief destroyer during Pakistan's run-chase.
The West Indies also earned a bonus point for their massive win by a margin of 201 runs.

The first innings batting was nothing short of a disaster, I feel. Kudos to Pak bowlers for restricting our batting to that score. We bowled well and didn't let them get a healthy lead. Then, it was the openers who set it up followed by the skipper. Special mention of George Headley, whose 140 odd in the first innings was all the difference. Lance Gibbs' 5 wicket haul meant we won by a huge margin. Vivian Richards form is a bit of a worry but, player of such a class and ability, once he comes good, he will come to the party!
Now, coming on to Zimbabwe. Had they given away less runs in the first innings on that pitch, we might have seen a fantastic win for the Zimbabwe side. They came back well and were really positive chasing that 400 + score. But, as one would expect, it was a bit too much. Still, well played guys, good luck ahead!

Even the legendary Sir Don's form has been quite ordinary by his standards in warm-ups as well as here.Ever since that captaincy burden has been thrust on him,he hasn't quite been himself while batting.

Yeah, saw Sir Don is the Aussie skipper. I'd leave the captaincy to someone else and just allow Sir Don to bat in his own way.
But, that isn't the case with Sir Viv.
Next match is against Sri Lanka who, I feel don't look much threatening. But, in Cricket nothing can be said. We won't be taking any team lightly. I think the side I'm playing against SL is still very very good even if it doesn't have probably our two best batsmen and best bowlers.

Then you're going in the right direction
.One should never under-rate a player.I run a KFC BBL on another forum where Henriques scored 144 against a strong bowling attack in an ODI and before that his manager was 'scared' of including him in the XI because he under-estimated the player
