The FIB boys are about to go back to their hotel. They really tried to get ready..considering the threat of Lucky Lockdown spinners, Jack Leach, Moen Ali and the rapid, Mark Wood, brilliant batsman, Alistair Cook and a pitch prepared to resemble Bondi Beach.
What transpired in that game can only be described by someone else as we have to go now as our coach is waiting outside.....needless to say it was 'emotional'
Well, the evening session from Mar-a-Lago and 'The Sandpit' at Coffs Harbour threw up two very entertaining low scoring matches.
Isolated XI made an electric start with 59/1 after 6 overs. Then de Kock was run out at the start of the 7th and things fell to pieces. 21 for 6 from the next four overs. It looked like their 122 all out would be the lowest score of the evening. Well... Despite some heroics with the ball from Sir Jadeja it was never going to be enough with Rovman Powell starring with the bat for Trump's Fringe.
Trump's Fringe top the group after the second round of matches.
We quickly transported down under for a pitch prepared to dominate. Sadly the the home side ended up batting second.
Despite a few blips along the way Fire In Babylon got up to 191/7. Fifties from the Universe Boss and, the second quickest of the tournament, Kane Williamson.
Then came the Lucky Lockdown Lunatics. Alastair Cook relieved of the captaincy and returned to open. Sadly he lasted two balls as Mitch Starc started off with a wicket maiden. There was a little steadying of the ship before Sunil Narine arrived. He started with a double-wicket maiden. He followed that with a run out in the next over.
Shortly after Ashley Nurse, who went for 14 in his first over, came back and delivered the third maiden of the innings and the SECOND wicket maiden. First ball of the following over there was another wicket and by that point (despite @mousey dread pretending otherwise) it was curtains for the home side.
A record breaking performance. Three maidens, two double-wicket maidens and the lowest score yet in the tournament.
Dutch, Alastair, Tom Bruce and Jack Leach will be searching for a plan c or maybe d. It was brutal and hilarious. Check it out if you have a spare 20 minutes.
I'm going to try and do five matches again. Remaining Group B and then Group C with a view to a break on Monday to allow everyone to update pitches for round 3. Then I will take one game from each group during the week. I'll put up some more detailed stats too so everyone can make some big decisions.
Order will probably be:
Twelve Fine Legs v Spartans
Neptune Gaming v Gilly's Grubs
Blocktown Brotherhood v The Glasgow Grubbers
Montreal Midgets v Thunder
San Francisco Suckers v Lazy Borises
The last three can be shuffled a little, if anyone needs that.

Don't have conditions yet @beechcroft - it's me, so it'll be default or whatever you choose. Probably last game tomorrow evening.
Great work today 4 games in mate and well 5 really fantastic stuff. You’re doing wonders mate. Unfortunately after creating my stats sheet and having it ready to go if needed, Google Sheets decided to collapse like my middle order and just delete the sheet. I’ve tried getting it back and restoring it to no avail so far I do have a saved version but it’s a bit far behind. I’ll try and catch up if time allows.
Update: Realised I’ve only input stats for Group A R1 but I’m going to give it a go and see if I can sweat out some stats.
