ok so is this the proper way to land? with the "flare" or whatever its called? I tried to follow the ILS 100% and this is what the landings look like.

Dutch, will look into your explanation of the rectangle tomorrow, if I understand correctly there is a separate frequency from the ILS one?

Yep ! Correct. The VOR can be a seperate frequency to the ILS. ILS is specifically for landing, VOR is for getting from A to B to C etcetera.

The landing looks good to me. Flare is at "minimums" and at about 10 degrees nose lift, like take off.....

That is right. A VOR can be at an airport but also just along the route. A VOR transmits a signal 360 degrees so that an airplane can direct itself towards it from every direction. An ILS transmits a specific signal at a specific direction to align the plane to the runway.

Here is some video of the crashes addon, its fairly useless since I rarely crash but it was fun to muck around with.

all sorts of crashes in the video, best one is probably of a fully fueled Cessna, massive tail strike on take off and it just explodes.

this is on the lowest settings possible

lol well they aren't going to waste money programming buildings falling.

That is why the Arab version of flight sim was so cheap, they did not have to program landing features

And the American version of "Camel Racing Deluxe 2000" doesn't feature any racing; you just bribe the local congressman to get your camel into first place whilst sending three hundred thousand "peace keepers" to your territory of choice at the "invitation of the local government" to protect "local assets" whilst explaining that "civilian casualties, whilst regrettable, are unavoidable"......great game...complicated but great...........
