Mobile apps discussion

Well now my mobile is almost complete with SkyFire Browser and RockPlayer. SkyFire plays flash videos on most of the sites (yeah that one too) and RockPlayer plays DivX videos. :banana2

I am happy with my phone now. The new upgrade has increased the battery life even more. :yes

heY guys, can you help me out a bit? I'm searching for an app(s) for iPhone which can record inside of the phone like fraps. I need to record some stuff from some apps and games. Cheers, any help appreciated.

Sorry, might be a bit off-topic, but just wanted to add.. Windows Mobile just won back my respect because my HTC Touch Pro just remotely connected to my PC. It was amazing to be able to use the PC on that tiny screen!

Oh, and hasn't Skyfire blocked access for various countries? It definitely doesn't work in Australia and India now.

Remote desktop apps exist for almost every mobile platform now--it's nothing new unless it did it out of the box without an app!

What I'm really excited about is Windows Phone 7. The devices look pretty sleek now and their theme is very minimalistic and brilliant. It's ability to sync over BT is probably going to be one of my favorite features.

Yeah I think it was out of the box. I certainly didn't install any app for it. Might have been installed by the author of the Custom ROM I'm using, although, I think I remember seeing it earlier as well, but never bothered to use it.

The stuff up with Windows mobile is that it ends up using too many resources, and slows the phone down over a period of time. Also, the battery takes a hit.

Also the OS is plain fugly. I had to develop some software for WinMo 6 last year for one of my classes and it was just a bloody pain to work with. WinPho 7 looks like a huge upgrade and it uses Silverlight so it's going to be sweet.

Yeah, but 6.5 was miles better. Anyways, using a custom Rom, so it doesn't really matter to me.. Everything looks good ;)

Maybe Skyfire on Windows Mobile, on Android it works flawlessly. If it stops working I will throw my Xperia under truck.

All about Froyo:

Well rooted my Xperia today and was able to install TitaniumBackup after that. Basically now I have uninstalled few apps which came bundled in and battery life has increased by 4-5 hours.

Paid apps service start in India for Android Market. :D

What's the name of that app where you take of picture of a barcode on a laptop or tv etc and it scans it and finds the right app for it?

Paid apps! Woot! Now to just wait for my Debit Card to arrive... :p

Any fun ones anyone found recently?

I am waiting for upgrade first. Most apps between 40-200 bucks.
