Droylsden fc won promotion to the conference for the first time in 115 years last season and lee Sweetman has been brought in to keep them up, and ulitmatly get Droylsden into League 2.
Chariman Dave Pace had this to say today: "I think that Lee Sweetman has the potential to get us up to our ultimate Dream which is to acheive League 2 football. Lee watched the club since he was 14, and although he hasnt managed before in football, he has potential."
Lee Sweetman told us, that after a lot of rumours that Jody Banim, Terry Fearns and Paul Phillips would be tempted away from the butchers Arms, he has managed to persuade them to stay. The players that won the conference North and got Droylsden into the conference, and have survived are: Paul Phillips, Jimmy Williams, Steve Halford, Gareth Morris, James Tandy, Terry Fearns, Robbie Talbot, Jody Banim, Chris Denham and Steve Daly.
Lee Sweetman had this to say "I think we have quality in the side that can get us into League 2, however i think it will be a hard fight.
