Most Disappointing player in India vs Pak

Who do you think had the most disappointing series (both test and ODI) out of this lot? I have included some of the injured players as well, so its not just who played the worst. Its more or less who should have done better, but didn't perform due to whatever reason.

I am voting Shoaib Akhtar because he has a big mouth and basically did nothing during the entire tour

to be honest, i think Laxman really redeemed himself in the final test by making his 77, even on cricinfo, they gave him 7/10 for the series....so that isn't bad.

zaheer khan and sachin were dissapointing.

the most disappointing in this order were: shoaib akhtar, zaheer khan, ajit agarkar, saqlain, and razzaq

Shoaib because he is hyped to be one of the best bowlers in the world, but he definately did not perform during the tour.

Zaheer because he was expected to be a frontline bowler, but due to injury he could not perform

Agarkar because after showing much promise in the australia series, he was very poor against pakistan. He is too inconsistent.

Saqlain because he was once a very good spin bowler, and he was expected to do well against India, that was why he was selected. He just didn't perform as well.

And Razzaq had way too much expected of him. To bowl as a fourth bowler and still provide runs, its very difficult and he broke down. He is a good player, but Pakistan rely on him for too much.

agarkar and zaheer khan turned out to be the worst performers for india...

but, since not many rate agarkar to high to start off with, i would say zaheer was the biggest disappointment...


for pakistan, shoaib was a letdown in the ODI series, while sami was toothless in the tests after being touted as the best fast bowling prospect in the world by none other than imran khan...

saqlain only got one innings to do anything, so i cant be too harsh on him...


another guy that was a failure, considering his reputation and history, was youhanna...

he had only two innings worth anything in the entire series - and he played every innings, save the 2nd at lahore...

his 48 and century in the 2nd innings of the 3rd and 1st test respectively are absolutely insignificant as it was almost as if he were playing a practice game...

Definitely Shoaib did not perform to his best. Even Mohammed Sami and Umar Gul bowled better.
