Mouseydread's Cricket 19 Creations

Oh man!! I am so looking forward to playing these!!

I've made a "Barbarian" side of some of the best players never to play test cricket - I am looking forward to some time travel and pitting them up against these teams!

@blockerdave I look forward to those Barbarians! It's funny, was thinking the same, as Jim Allen played WSC but not Test cricket and I was going to create him tonight. I am sure you have him in your sets, I may nick him!

Uploaded the 1979-80 Test Playing Squad.

This team I feel is the quintessential dominant West Indian side. They were the first West Indian Test side to win a Test Series on Australian soil. They won the 3 Test series 2-0.

Fresh off their second World Cup victory and with the Packer Revolution over. The West Indies were back with what would be one of the greatest opening partnerships of all time, the greatest batsman in the world, the greatest captain, and probably the most fearsome bowling attack ever.

Once again the names trip off the tongue, Gordon Greenidge, newly arrived Desmond Haynes, Richards, Kallicharran, Rowe, Lloyd, Murray,

and the original "Fearsome Foursome".....or as some called them "The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse".

Andy "The Hit Man" Roberts, Joel "Big Bird" Garner, Michael "Whispering Death" Holding, and Colin Croft.

With this team there would truly be "Fire in Babylon".

Actually no I don't have Jim Allen!

What I have done tonight is complete the West Indian rebel tour side, and thanks to your efforts I only had to make 4 players! So I'm very grateful ha ha...

Uploaded the 1984 Test Playing Squad.

Often referred to as one of the greatest of all time, they won everything in sight, and this culminated in the original "black wash" when they beat Gowers's England 5-0. Gordon Greenidge dominated the series but he had help from the unspectacular Larry Gomes. The team is led by the veteran Clive Lloyd. There are a host of new additions, none less than one of the greatest bowlers of all time, Malcolm Marshall.

Marshall and Joel Garner dominated the English batsmen, backed up by a past peak Michael Holding, Eldine Baptise, Winston Davis, Milton Small and spinner Roger Harper they kept it together, and the team had the spectacular wicket keeper batsman Jeff Dujon.

Great reserves in Logie, Walsh and Richardson and future rebel Thelston Payne.

I've included 1 or 2 players who played in 83 and 84 but did not tour England in 1984. Clyde Butts and Wayne Daniel.

Personally I will AI vs AI this side against the 79-80 side. I believe 79-80 would come out on top!

Great!! One of my next tasks is to make the England 84 players and play this!

I look forward to it! I really want to play England 85 vs Australia 85. The England team that summer was dominant. After the series, I remember Gower saying in his ironic way, ont the eve of the 1986 West Indies tour that, "The West Indies would be shaking in their boots!".

England lost 5-0 in the second "blackwash" series and the world was introduced to the enigmatic Balfour Patrick Patterson and Malcolm Marshall smashed Gatting's nose all over his face. The West Indies I would love to see at least return to some level of respectability these days!

There'd never to be time to make all the players but how cool it would be to play through the west indies from about 1988 onwards, every test series they played, trying to fight the decline and stay on the perch...

Tell you what it is possible! :)

like your idea, I will finish the West Indies project. I am already working on Bangladesh, ( 3 classic players uploaded already) Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India and South Africa, what takes time is the likeness of the player more than anything else, some are easier than others and we have playface. ( I don't have playface on PS4) Australia and England I am relying on others like yourself and Gleeso and Spoobir, and others too many to mention for newer faces/players :) I can always make alternatives if needed.

I am sure master blasters Wasteryouryouth and Lleweln7 had players in previous incarnations of the game and am sure they will have some!

It's taken not quite three weeks to cover the West Indies!

I guess yeah, done bit by bit/series by series... sounds exciting. I’ve got too many things I want to play ha ha!

I threw together an Aussie 84/85 side last night to match your great West Indies squad. Haven’t uploaded as yet as I just pinched players from Blockerdave, gleeso and probably yourself off the academy to make it up. And didn’t want to steal your thunder or poach your creations without checking in first.

Go for it the more we have the better!

Uploaded the West Indies 2000s All Decade Squad. Completed. 28, 30's 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's

Enter Chris Gayle, "The Universe Boss" and the rest of the squad led by Shiv Chanderpaul and host of talented but mostly unhappy cricketers who often fought with the board and were inconsistent throughout the decade. I could have added Darren Sammy and Dinesh Ramdin but saved them for the 2010 squad.

There are 28 players here in this squad, some of whom still play today. The gifted but ill disciplined Marlon Samuels, Ramnaresh Sarwan, pacer Jerome Taylor, underused Reon King, opener Wavell Hinds, Keeper Ridley Jacobs one of the shining lights of the decade. An excellent spinner Dinanath Ramnarine, often injured Corey Collymore, inconsistent Merv Dillon, power hitting Ricardo Powell, talented Jermaine Lawson who was criminally dropped from the side, colourful Tino Best who nearly became the first man to hit a century batting at 11, Brendan Nash inexplicably dropped from the middle order, express but disappointing Fidel Edwards and his brother Pedro Collins, and more.

If you play well with these boys, you really are doing well :)

Special Thanks to Llewelynf for the uniforms and logos, Wasteryouryouth and too many others to mention for their inspiration.
