MRF Sponsorship

Michael Clarke and Matthew Hayden have been offered a sponsorship deal with Madras Rubber Factory (MRF). Clarke is the likely person to get it, since he has less time left on his contract with Slazenger, than Hayden has with Gray-Nicolls. The manager of MRF have already spoke to Hayden, but is keen on finishing his contract with Gray-Nicolls first.

Post all you thoughts here:

 I wonder how much money players get for it?

B) every one gets sponsors in india ,brett lee too has a sponsor from india,

i remember the westindies team ,when they came to india they all batted with plain bats and had no sponsors ,but when they left thier full team was sponsored by kingfisher ,

then brain lara and steve waugh, and many others ,india is the biggest money spender in cricket sponsorship,

someone told me that india was the richest board in the world ,but i dont no why they dont spend enough money on domestic cricket :sorry:

New sponsors means more bats to change in c2k4 is suppose!

Yes,thats correct. They don't even provide proper colour kits for domestic ODI matches.

Who ever gets the sponsorship gets $300,000 a year from MRF

How much people do they sponsor now, 2?

BCCI doesnt pay for sponsorship do they? I always thought it would be the individual companies paying for it

bcci is the worst run cricket board in the world.
 ur wrong mate. jagmohan dalmiya is the person to make cricket a multimillion dollar project,
in 1983 when india won the worldcup they dint have money to give the players fees,so lata mangeshkar did a charity show and got 20 lakhs ,

but look now it has brought so much money in cricket, the world cup sponsors 4 out 6 sponsors were from india ,that means 80% of 550 million dollars, that is a hugh amount.

oh yer, i forgot all bout Steve, I think he's retiring this year anyway

I doubt it, all I'd reckon they'd do is buy the best Willow, gloves, pads etc. and put their logo on it.

B) yes ,mrf has its own company to make bats, india is the no 1 in making cricket kits, many country's including australia get thier kits made in india,

but the england dosent ,it prefers their own country,

i have heard a company has also made a cricket ball , which is better then current one which is used in odi , but first they will test this in domestic cricket in india.

MRF DOESNT make its own bats. According to sachin his MRF is actually made by slazenger. he says so in one of his books B) . i also doubt that they would make their own bats because it is predominantly a rubber factory and so cricket is a total different area so i thnk its just sponsership rather than manufacturing their own products. their other equip (gloves n pads etc...) i also doubt r made by themselves.
