IPL Mumbai Indians-2014

Its high time we bring Million Dollor Baby MAXWELL, on the eve of Master Blaster's Birthday. :thumbs

IF Ponting can take rest, we can bring Johnson to bolster bowling. So we will have 6-7 bowlers to restrict opposition. Our batting is not a problem when Rohit-Karthik are in form. :cheers

Johnson has to play, and considering Ponting is basically your only option in terms of captains, he has to play as well.

My XI for tomorrow:

1. Sachin Tendulkar
2. Dinesh Karthik?
3. Ricky Ponting* [overseas]
4. Rohit Sharma
5. Ambati Rayudu
6. Kieron Pollard [overseas]
7. Rishi Dhawan
8. Harbhajan Singh
9. Mitchell Johnson [overseas]
10. Lasith Malinga [overseas]
11. Pragyan Ojha

Hey GOD OF CRICKET...

MANY MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY
:cheers

Have a blast at Eden Garden tonight and hope MI bowlers deliver to give us a win finally. :thumbs

Haha that comment was in a lighter sense mate, infact a bit sarcastic too :rolleyes

Yes,Ojha was impressive yesterday and DK was unfortunate to be given out LBW too.

Yajuvendra Chahal too impressed a lot with his leg-spin balls, let's see how many chances he get. This team looks good for me, no need to make any changes as of now. So Ponting, Maxwell, Rishi Dhawan, Munaf all have to sit out :D

But against RCB in next match, I would rather have less spinners against the likes of Gayle, Dilshan and Kohli. We also want revenge of the very 1st match too. Hope batsmen play sensibly against Vinay and Rampaul.

Please dont include Dilshan mate.He is in terrible form. You missed AB instead.

There is no answer for ABD I guess. Even Malinga might fail against him :p

For TilDil, Every out-of-form player comes back in form against Harbhajan and Munaf :D

So 3 spinners against RCB is not a good idea

Its high time MI drop Harbhajan and bring in some other talent.

Also resting Tendulkar wont be a bad idea,he is not really getting things right these days, still early stages of the tournament and few new faces wont affect much.

I don't think it will happen in MI case. :facepalm

I am looking forward to see few young talent from MI in Playing 11, like Abu Nechim, Dhawal Kulkarni, Suryakumar Yadav, Aditya Tare, Yajuvendra Chahal (played last match), Sushnat Marathe, Jalaj Saxena, etc :thumbs

Given Mumbai just got back to winning ways the other day, a whole lot of changes is just uncalled for.

My XI for tomorrow:

1. Sachin Tendulkar
2. Dwayne Smith [overseas]
3. Dinesh Karthik?
4. Rohit Sharma*
5. Ambati Rayudu
6. Kieron Pollard [overseas]
7. Rishi Dhawan
8. Harbhajan Singh
9. Mitchell Johnson [overseas]
10. Lasith Malinga [overseas]
11. Pragyan Ojha

1 change, Rishi Dhawan in for Yuzvendra Chahal. 3 spinners ideally could work in Mumbai, but imo it's a bit of an outdated ploy and thus I went for the extra all-rounder in Rishi Dhawan.

Yes this team looks good. Chris Gayle will ruin career of Yajuvendra Chahal (if he gets the place), like what happened to Ali Murtaza and Aaron Finch the other day. :D

I am predicting Gayle failure against us on Saturday. Hope Malinga fires :thumbs

Tendulkar should be dropped now. He has not done anything great. Maybe give Ponting another chance out there.

No. I don't think there is need to make any changes to current side. Looking like a plan from MI management to give Sachin a role to smash the ball right from the start, but he is getting hurried and failing. That's not a big issue. Dwayne Smith needs to smash from the start actually. He is taking too much time in powerplay overs.

I want to see Rayudu's batting display in coming matches, but MI top 5 are not giving much chance to this talented lad :D

I dont think the management can just dictate Sachin how to play dude.He is playing on his own and some of the dismissals he has been having since England series in 2011 i really dont think he is in his sorts anymore. He may still get some runs but he has lost the midas touch he had for the past 2 decades because he is also getting old.He is another human being mate. Its high time he sits out of IPL and end his test career soon too.He has been one of the best batsman in world cricket but not anymore. Its sad to see players like him play so badly.Leave alone IPL,he has not really looked good since England 2011.
