End of 3 overs

Bangalore in Deep Trouble
(Zaheer strike's thrice)

Well, with all set and ready, the first ball of this year's IPL semi-finals was delivered by former Royal Challengers Bangalore man Zaheer Khan. There was a huge cheer as India's left-arm fast bowler began his run up of the first delivery. Manish Pandey faced the new ball with the consistent South African Jacques Kallis at the non strikers end.

Manish Pandey was lucky to survive, as he edged the first ball of the match inches wide of Sachin Tendulkar at slip and picked up a couple of runs towards the third man region. As expected there was a bit of swing for the fast bowlers early on. Manish Pandey placed the second ball nicely towards the fine leg and was happy to pick a single and give the strike to the experience Jacques Kallis. There was a huge cheer from home supporters as Kallis took his guard but that cheer soon turned into silence moments later. Zaheer Khan bowled a brilliant third ball tempting Kallis for his favoured cover drive but the South African allrounder couldn't time the shot perfectly and played in the air giving a simple catch to Saurabh Tiwary at covers. Kallis was surprised as he looked down at the pitch and departed back to the pavilion with a duck of the first ball. The Mumbai Indians celebrated as 'the Wall' Rahul Dravid walked in.

Rahul Dravid took two balls to get off the mark with three runs towards the long midwicket boundary. Sachin Tendulkar gave the ball to his best bowler Lasith Malinga to add more pressure on the Bangalore batsman with his awkward action. He did his job successfully as he conceded just two runs, both in singles from his over by pitching the ball on and around middle stump and varying his speed brilliantly. Zaheer Khan continued with his second over and bowled brilliantly by making the batsman think twice before hitting the ball. Manish Pandey's patience was tested by Zaheer Khan as he pitched the first two balls outside offstump and Pandey left them untouched. The third ball as expected was similar to first two but this Manish Pandey played the dangerous cut shot over point and end up giving a simple catch to Abhishek Nayar at point. England's best batsman of the modern era Kevin Pietersen replaced Manish Pandey in the middle.

There was a huge cheer from the home supporters as KP walked in to bat. There were huge expectations rested on the huge shoulders of KP as he has been the man in form for the Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. But today it didn’t look it was going to be his day as he lasted just two balls before edging one on to the stumps. The first ball KP faced he got an inside edge on to the pads but off the second ball he again got an inside edge but this time onto the stumps. To see KP walking back to the pavilion there was a huge silence in the stadium with only the Mumbai Indians' supporters making the noise. Robin Uthappa who swapped teams with Zaheer Khan was the new man in. The former Mumbai Indians player got off the mark straightaway by smashing Zaheer Khan over covers for the first boundary of the match.

Bangalore: 12/3(3 Overs)
R.Dravid: 5*(9)
R.Uthappa: 4*(1)
K.Pietersen b Zaheer 0(2)
M.Pandey c Nayar b Zaheer 3(6)
J.Kallis c Tiwary b Zaheer 0(1)

Zaheer Khan: 10/3(2 Overs)
Lasith Malinga: 2/0(1 Overs )
.4

So at the end of 3 overs, Royal Challengers Bangalore look to be in all sorts of trouble at 12 for 3 with two of their inform batsman Jacques Kallis and Kevin Pietersen back in the dressing room for a duck. Zaheer Khan has shown everyone, why he is India's best bowler by picking up the three wickets. So this brings us to our first Videocon Predict and Win contest question.

24o5buh.jpg

Q. How much will the Royal Challengers Bangalore be able to score in their 20 overs?
a) less than 100
b) 100-120
c) 120-150
d) 150-180
e) more than 180

Awesome update bro. Loving it.
Zak is a legend!

I'd predict 120-150.
However, I would have opted for 100 + 120 if the option would exist. ;)

Horrible Start from RCB, I am rooting for them :p but they dont do themselves any favour with their top 3 going cheaply. Zaheer looks pumped up, and Its the rematch of the real semis aint it.

Option C for me as well
