NBA 2k11 "best sports game of this generation"

Yep, I'm planning to do one soonish. Haven't had much time to play lately but hopefully that should change.

I heard about the Jordan contract too when I was in the Nets but was rejected because I wasn't good enough. Hopefully it should come around again.

Put up my best offensive effort yesterday night against the lowly Clippers. Had 39 points on 17/32 shooting with 7 assists as well.

gone on an absolute tear recently consistently scoring well over 20 points each game putting up a high of 47 Points with 3 Assists. Starting for them now been given it over J-Rich after my recent run. Started to level out now putting up 24 and 26 points in my last two games.

Is it hard to get selected as SF in NBA? I looked for this game in stores but its not out yet here and had to settle for Fifa 11. :(

Hopefully I'll have this game soon. I'm a bit tight on money at the moment so I have to keep resisting to the temptation, it nearly got the better of me yesterday!

Shouldn't be too hard. Really it depends on how you perform in the Draft Combine (3 games against other rookies). If you have a bad performance you won't get drafted and will slip to the D-League for a few games, probably until you get a hang of the game.

Is there a PC demo for 2k11/2k10 games? I want to test it out.(Though I should rather buy it, I am sure that I won't be allowed at this point of time, maybe a month or two later.)

There may be a PC demo for 2K10 but there isn't one for 2K11. Steam has a demo for 2K9, but the games have evolved a lot since then so not sure it would be a good indication.

On another note, I got named Rookie of the Month in the Western Conference for November and got picked up by Jordan brand. All this on the back of a dominating 48 point, 9 assist performance. Used the 5000 odd points to up my dunk rating by like 20 which means I can actually dunk now, which is nice in fast breaks. :)

Got the passing figured out pretty good Sohum?

I'll buy this as soon as my current season is over. Its a tweaking dream season for me man, can't quit.

Yep, although there are still games when I get 4-5 turnovers, it's averaging around 2.5 right now which is okay for a PG (Steve Nash averages around 2.9 for example!). Basically I've stuck with making passes around the three-point arc pretty much. Still annoys me when I have a guy posting up or cutting in to the paint and I try to pass it to him and instead I hit someone in the corner waiting for a three. It actually seems like the default pass button logic got worse.

So then maybe its a good thing I almost exclusively use icon passing? As long as we don't have those random alley oops when you try to pass its not so bad I guess...

I use icon passing, too, but it's a lot harder to use icon passing effectively if you're in a fast break scenario, for example, and don't know exactly who you are passing to but need to in a split second.

There is a total control passing mode which I haven't tried out yet, but I'm not sure that's available in My Player mode.

Don't have a major problem passing myself. Odd turnover ever now and then but thats just choosing a poor pass or wrong timing. Been dunking for a while myself score a fair few of them. Just under 20 PPG now and just beat the Raptors in Toronto scoring 26 with 3 Rebounds and 5 Assists. One of my favourite games so far along with the 47 pointer. John Wall looks pretty set in on Rookie awards no matter what I do.
