New Cricket Management Games...

I think this is a great idea and one which should definately pushed on to developers. Having played a lot of Championship Manager games (starting back in 96) I have been greatly impressed at how more modern the series has become, and if something such as this could be implemented for a Cricket Management series, then I would be definately up for that. ICC was the definative in cricket management games and by taking on something as that and developing it like the championship manager games, we could have a real killer of a management game. Detailed stats and figures for each player is a must have!! Imagine the detail of championship manager in a cricket manager game, that would be mind blowing!!

Lets hope this idea can be taken seriously, and steps are taken to show developers what they are missing out on.

Don't think I would buy one if EA made it!! Total Club Manager sucks, would like to see one from Sports Interactive or Eidos though

i think total club manager is a lot better than most people make it out to be, at least on pc. the reason it is unpopular is basically because it is very different to football manager and champ man- more boardroom decisions to make. (and also it does seem to have more bugs but SHHHHH). i think a prospective cricket game could take a lot of positive influence from total club manager.

hey!!

i juz luv ICC(international cricket captain)... i wish they release a new version....will we ever have a comeback by the ICC????? EA suck in watever they do related to cricket....so i wish they dont get into this thing.... i juz pray they dont...cuz they r damn full-blooded suckers!!!!

I am so amazed to see ppl actually interested in ICC series ... and i thought i was the biggest fan of ICC series ... :D but i am so glad to see ppl actually enjoying the game as much as i STILL do ;) ... wish empire comes up with a brand new idea and have the basics of icc intact ...

We definitly need a managing game in the likes of Football Manager 2005. I think Sports Interactive should do one. Been after on for ages but none to be seen at this day and age. :crying

Duff cheers for the timeline mate. Great to hear things are developing for the game, as it looks really really good. Definately looking forward to playing on it though, keep it up

is any of this informations and feedback going to be taken seriously by anyone? has anyone asked for this info? i would be ecstatic if someone really had :D

i would love a managing game i used to have 1 from empire sports and it was very fun they dnt make enough manager games for cricket

The last game in the ICC series of Cricket games was released in 2002 and although there is a new management game coming out from Rockingham Software later this year, there isn't anywhere near as many cricket management games as there are football management games or games with the depth as some football games. New management games where you could be the captain of the team or perhaps the coach or selector would be really popular.

I think it would be great if someone like EA Sports who make the "Total Club Manager football game, Eidos who have brought out the new Championship Manager 5 game or SI Games who made the Football Manager series of management games could bring out a cricket management game. Some of these companies already make baseball, hockey or F1 management games so why not a cricket management game with as much depth as some of the football management games.

Maybe if some of these companies or other companies would see this thread they may realise there will be a demand for a cricket management game with such depth so it would be great if people could post in this thread to show their interest and to give suggestions for some features of cricket management games!

We have 2 playing cricket games coming out soon, who knows in a few years there could be a number of good in depth realistic management games as well!

Whats this game called that you are talking about thats coming out later this year?

i hope we cricket coach is more like ICC and not M.Vaughan cricket ... i did not like the user interface in the latter and the international transfer system!

Its so positive to see so much interest in Cricket Management games, like you guys I still play ICC2002. Its not perfect, but its pretty damn good.

I'd like to see things like a player editor, schedule creator (to plan your own tours) and the inclusion of other domestic competitions other than just County Cricket.

I prefer these types of games to games such as Cricket 2004.
