Yeah. but the wicket is slowing down, so it should be slow turn and thats a little easier for the batsmen, also this pitch should stay this way for most of the test. Because of the underlying moisture and cold weather, it wont crack-up much.

I dont see NZ being much threat with tha ball in the 1st innings, if the batsmen play the spinners well. In fact i'd like to see them really attack patel so as to insure that they're almost always facing at least 1 fast/medium bowler and 1 spinner.

Still, Vettori could be a handfull. Best SLA in the game.

The pitch will be good to bat on for the South Africans first innings. I definatly agree. But by the time the 4th and fifth days roll around, it will defiantly be harder. So we need 400+ now and to bowl well again South Africa in their first innings.

Patel will bowl the odd bad ball. He can get a hell of a lot of spin though and he had the one which goes on straight. We have a handy attack. Its just a shame we couldn't upgrade our Martin to a Bond :( we will lack that real speedster and strike bowler.

Franklin is doing better than Vettori. Hes helping out Fleming who looks likely to get a 150 if not 200.

SA hands have really let them down lately. Good batting by Franklin maybe another 200 is up for grabs ;) But honestly Fleming could get the 200, Franklin possibly a ton.

OMG, as soon as im done writing this, im driving down to Newlands and asking Fleming to pick 6 numbers between 1-49.

Im sure i'll win the lottery!!!!!!!! lol

It's interesting reading the chat in cricbuzz. They seem to think this will be a draw which was the way I was going to bet on vBookie. It seems to be that way as with the delays the game has been pushed back by a session at least. All depends how well the NZ bowlers go.

I love that Cricbuzz chat, very spicy indeed especially when India is playing.

Great batting by Fleming and Franklin. Last time I checked they were around 250/7 now I look and they are 517/7. I would have thought Fleming might have wanted to bowl a few overs at the at the end of the day but it seem's they are playing for Franklin's 100.

Yeah very good job from the Kiwis. I wonder if they'll continue tomorrow and let franklin get his 100. Pitch will still be good for batting tho, and if SA wanna win they have to score big and score it quickly.

Whenever Fleming scores a ton he scores big.
Proves this point with a big double!!

Someone else celebrating a double ton...

ME !! 200th post. :happy

I joined last year around ashes time but didnt really post alot.
But iv'e become an active poster over the last month or so!
Now onto bigger and better things.

Well done to NZ for making us pay for some shocking fielding, although Boje made a great catch, unfortunately there was no way he could stay out of the boundry there. Unless we score relatively quickly, there is no way we can get a result in our favour in this match, however if NZ steam roll us somehow its quite easy for them to take a win. But from the way things stand at the moment, a draw looks very possible.
