Been watching a bit of baseball lately. I reckon their outfielders shouldn't be allowed gloves. Fair enough that the on base guys get them as they are rocketed balls all afternoon. But the outfielders have no skill at all. Oh fly ball, snooze...

Just off topic - The fastest pitch in baseball is 100.9 mph which is quite surprising considering they have 'throw' the ball unlike in cricket where we'd have to 'bowl'.

They shouldn't be wearing gloves period, given the softness of the baseball.

And good news about that ESPN360, if not TV then Internet is the next best thing. At least DirectTV isn't hiding it in PPV and Willow, this is a start.

Obviously someone who has never played baseball at a competitive level.

Try fielding in the infield without a glove and you will break your hand, try pulling off the grabs off the fence without a glove either, it wont happen.

The glove comparison is moot. I agree cricket is the better sport but at least lets be constructively critical of baseball
