New Zealand Sri Lanka Twenty20 Series in USA

Obviously someone who has never played baseball at a competitive level.

Obviously, someone who has?

Try fielding in the infield without a glove and you will break your hand

And a cricket ball doesn't? I didn't know catching/fielding balls hit off express bowlers in the circle in cricket didn't compare to infielding in BB, my bad.

The glove comparison is moot.

lol omg how am I ever going to catch a ball with this thing?! @______@

I really don't see your logic here dude. For the infielding I know it can still hurt like a **** if you try to catch a comebacker at 90mph but I see this ████ in cricket all the time and they don't complain, with bare hands and with twice as harder ball. A hit to the head has killed people in International cricket. The thing rips through helmets to break your nose. How many have died in Baseball?

I agree cricket is the better sport

That's just opinion.

but at least lets be constructively critical of baseball

I did. They try to catch marshmellows and with gloves and its lolworthy compares to feats in Int. cricket. That doesn't take it from being a less exciting sport, however. I don't follow the sport religiously but I will sit down to see the big games with my friends and BB is awesome in its own right.

Its not just about when the ball is hit, its when the infielders rocket the ball to each other. Those throws are well over 90 mph.

I played Varsity baseball in Highschool btw, what did you do?

If you are honestly suggesting infielders should not wear gloves, it shows how little you know of the game. The whole point of gloves is how quickly you can catch and release the ball at high speeds, thus get double plays etc

I think the gloves are mainly used to be able to catch one handed rather than trying to protect your hand.

Agree, the baseball is bigger and when it hits you, if you're not wearing a glove it would hurt heaps. Especially because all the catches are one-handed.

I see your point. I seriously doubt all those throws are well over 90mph (pitchers need to have a good arm to avg those speeds) but you cannot say you don't see feats like that in cricket (in-circle fielding, hectic runout situations).

And nobody plays BB in India, I missed my chance to compete in high school BB, but I have played plenty of casual games with friends. I always fielded without gloves though, and caught the throws coming at me one handed and if its coming really fast I'll use both hands and never had much problem.

^ you must have massive bear hands :p

lol believe it or not they're little. My younger bro has bigger hands, heck my gf's hands are almost my size. Almost embarrassing but I never had much problems fielding/catching cricket ball.

im a pretty good fielder, but i wouldn't dare catch a baseball with one hand. btw a baseball ball is the same as a softball ball right?

Manager: Imran Khan

Coach: Clayton Lambert

Physio: Akhtar “Chik” Masood Syed

National Team Selectors: Abrar Ahmad (North West), Mohammad Sunny Khan (Central East), Sew Shivnarine (New York).

No Central West selectors :( that is why Andre Rowe is not there, that guy is a lethal quick West Indian dude, really tall as well. Bowls in the low 140s

Andre Rowe is a strong looking 6ft. 3in. fast bowler who, according to those who know him, is fairly quiet and reserved. To borrow a well worn cricketing clich?, he lets the leather do the talking and sometimes the willow too.

He has a fluid action and can bowl in the high 80 mph region from a 22-yard run when he represents the Houston West Indies Cricket Club in the Houston Central Cricket League.

2010 Pearls Cricket Cup: Marlon Samuels headlines Jamaica squad traveling to Florida - Dreamcricket News

Fresh off a two-year ban from cricket at all levels by the ICC, Marlon Samuels is one of four former West Indies Test players in a 13-man Jamaica squad that will be playing USA in three matches this weekend at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida.

Wow this will be interesting to see

According to a roster obtained from USACA, the other three players with Test match experience who will be traveling to the Sunshine State are Wavell Hinds, Carlton Baugh and Donovan Pagon while Shawn Findlay is another player with international experience who made his ODI debut against Australia in 2008.

Anyone know anything about Pagon?
