New Zealand Sri Lanka Twenty20 Series in USA

Ball comes of the baseball bat a lot faster. Baseball is lot bigger. Baseball infielders gets the ball on their hand more often then cricket.

Mahela said they went to the baseball game hopefully the baseball players would turn up for the cricket game, this could actually increase media attention.

Ok please leave all baseball talk out of this thread now, if you want to continue then make another damn thread.

The matches on Saturday and Sunday will be the first internationals held in the United States. The venue, Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, is an impressive looking stadium and Ross Taylor, the New Zealand batsman, said the conditions at the ground were a mystery to the players.

"The wicket is under cover at the moment," Taylor said. "There's a New Zealand groundsman here looking after it and preparing it. To be honest, we don't really know what to expect but I'm sure it will be a decent Twenty20 wicket."

The stadium was opened in November 2007 and it has taken a strategic partnership between New Zealand Cricket and the USA Cricket Association for top-level teams to finally make the trip to Florida.

Will be interesting to see how the wickets in Florida turn out

Televised for the first time ever in the United States, ESPN3.com has brought a powerful broadcast team together, led by 2009 ICC Cricket Hall of Fame inductee and former Australia captain, Ian Chappell. Over the course of his career Chappell created and sustained a reputation as one of the greatest captains in the history of cricket.

Joining Chappell in the broadcast booth is the legendary Sunil Gavaskar who held the world records for the most runs and most centuries (34 Test centuries) scored; Simon Doull, a former member of the New Zealand cricket team who played in 32 Test matches and 42 one-day internationals; and Mike Haysman - the former member of Leicestershire, Northern Transvaal and South Australia who represented the Australian XI in the South African rebel tours from 1985-1987.

Ahh, Sky Sports is showing this live in New Zealand. First game is on Sunday morning at 7:30, really looking forward to seeing how many people turn up.
