Why Rae was given only 2 overs?
Nicholas Friedlander on Twitter suggests: "I’d say it’s because he isn’t a death bowler, would normally have bowled when Foxcroft did I think."

To be fair, hard to criticise bowling Foxcroft. Maybe could have given Rae another in the PP tho

MSD doing same in test matches in NZ
Why you gave bowling to someone who gave 7 runs per overs J. Neesham ( 2nd successive 100 since debut) & Macullum (triple) vs india

Otago: 144/7
(20 overs)
Dale Phillips 28, Foxcroft 73, Liew Johnson 12 ball 24 with 200 Strike rate
Younghusband best Fielder in NZ, i think.

Otago lost 3 wkts in 20th overs << lost by 8 runs

I wonder why they not given player of the match but should be given to Milne koz his death over bowling & Fielding.

Ravindra hold wellington Innings through out.

Watch out for this guy, possibly the Kiwi Cam Green. Left arm rapid, right hand bat. Recently made a 50 on FC debut, and is now also among the wickets.

Been following the Kiwi Domestic also (As a Kiwi, I bloody better) but to be honest, our back-up stocks aren't looking too great. Add that to our history of playing in-form players out of position, and we are in the shite. IMO next bowlers off the rank need to be: Kyle Jamieson (obviously, and injuries permitting), Jacob Duffy (Best all-round seam bowler for last few years), Ed Nuttal (white ball specialist? Though age may be not on his side), Doug Bracewell still churning out the wickets... Yeah.. Bowling, not looking so good... Batting though, I think we might hit a Golden Patch. Glenn Phillips is coming into his own, and will become a mainstay in all formats. Dean Foxcroft is going along well (not sure of his eligabilty though.) Mark Chapman, Finn Allen (please don't let him anywhere near a red ball), Will Young, Tom Bruce, Jacob Bhula... Rachin Ravindra should be in/around all squads, but not as an All-Rounder. Let him play as a batsman, who can offer some spin, he is NOT an All-Rounder (neither is M.Bracewell, but classic NZC thinking (oh you got 4 wickets once? You're our #1 white ball spinner)).

Sorry for the rambling.. But TLDR: Rachin Ravindra is the future (batsman first, bowler eighth), Ajaz Patel needs to play EVERY DAMN TEST, and apart from Jacob Duffy, our pace stocks are in the shit.

Thank you for coming to my T.E.D talk.

What happened to Sears and Fisher other than injuries? The depth of the Hesson era may not be present again but I don’t think it’s that bad, especially once they get Stead out and blood in some younger ones.

Santner just wins a thriller for his team, but Wellington got so close to chasing 391.

Santner has ironically turned into a better version of what they want from Macewell ever since he was dropped from the test side. Fully expecting a glorious return for him in the near future once they get off Macewell’s wild ride.

Took me a while in finding this thread. Admit, though am a fan of the side, haven't posted about them.

With a World Cup round the corner, the Kiwis are always one of those perennial bridesmaids- do you think they can go one up this time round?
