New Zealand Tour of India, November 2010/11

Haha. Beaten by the lack of turn, the ball headed down leg, but it hits him on the back pad and bowls him. It was either going to be that or a chop-on, wasn't it?

At last Sehwag is out. But that just brings out Tendulkar. :(

There's no reprieve when playing India. They don't have a bad batsman until you're past Dhoni, if you get there that is. Sigh.

India at the top with Dravid scoring a century.I hope he even goes beyond 200 mark.I am sure NZ gonna be follow on.Not sure if some miracle happens.

Just when I reached home after being out the entire day, I saw that Sehwag got dismissed an over before for 173. Happy for the century, upset that he could not reach his seventh double. Nonetheless, it was a splendid innings from him.

Congrats Viru on reaching 1,000 runs in a calendar year, yet again.

I'm expecting atleast 450.

I'd expect India to score much more than that. They'll get to like 600 if they don't declare, and by then they'll only have lost about 5 wickets.

Chewie added 0 Minutes and 22 Seconds later...

And as I post Martin gets a wicket :facepalm

Okay, back to my usual rant. How was the crowd today?

So who here thinks tendulkar will make another hundred tomorrow? It is very likely imo considering the quality of bowling (or lack thereof) and docile pitch.

Really thought Sehwag would go on to make a 300 heck even a 400. Only caught glimpses of the match but I see he needed a runner so that probably put to rest those milestones.

It wasn't his best innings, but then again, I suppose many of those who saw Dravid's first couple of hours at the crease would be surprised he got 100.

Would have been great if Pujara got to play all the three games with someone being rested because even if he fails (which is improbable anyway),NZ are just not good enough to let that influence the outcome.
Hopefully one of the batsmen gets injured in this game. :D

from the looks of it though sehwag once again responsible for taking the match to the opposition. Everyone else scoring quite slow while he just merrily hits away. he had the air of a 40 year old ex-test great batting in the counties today, not his most fluent but so relaxed and above the situation. hobbling about just completed the picture.

Good innings from Dravid (that was more important than Viru's 170+, because Dravid was struggling). After a shaky start, Dravid really opened up to get to that hundred pretty quick enough. Before the SA tour, Dravid with some good runs in his kitty in tests vs NZ is never a bad thing to have. I thought we could have scored 350 or close to it considering the opposition and the pitch. But anyway, we are poised for a very big one here.
