If Ishant is preserved for the tests, he can serve well. Until he sorts out his bowling in limited overs cricket. You need to be smart and strategic when bowling in limited overs, which Ishant lacks.

as the squad I think the selectors will take. Flynn's a better player of spin then James Franklin is and given that he's had more success in test cricket over the past couple of years I think they'll take him as the back up middle order batsmen.

I can't see anything wrong with that side. Flynn is a bit iffy I agree though. I'm not really sure who else could be there instead of him though, except, as you suggested, Franklin.

lol he's less than a year younger than Tuffey. Tuffey hasn't done too bad in tests since coming back though... 11 wickets at 35 is pretty decent for a NZ bowler
