No Autoplay

I couldn't care less. I've played a full test match on every cricket game i've played. (Including Megadrive BLC, PS1 BLC, Cricket 2002 PC & Cricket 2004 PS2)

Doesn't matter to me whatsoever

I use autoplay in C2K4 (sometimes) to allow the CPU to score a reasonable total, once you have got used to bowling to the CPU it is too easy to bowl the side out for stupidly low totals as the AI almost always makes the same mistakes. I think not having an Autoplay function is a big mistake.

after playing BLIC i can say they dont i had a brilliant spell with anderson getting 3 wickets the batsman then play played sensibly for an over and they started smacking me around the next over. It wont be that easy.

no it isnt . because u are so used to ea games which are slow and boring u use autoplay . In cricket 2004 u cant get the edges that easily and plus the commentry is boring and u can do any late swinging but in blic u can do late swinging and u can try your tricks in bowling and their is a feilding bar and the commentry is excellent and the game is really fast .

No. People who autoplay are sad.

The only reason people don't want to bowl is if either the bowling controls are poo, or if they are childish and only like batting. I bet you're like that when/if you play real cricket. I've know people cry at if they don't get to bat first in the playground. Not that I go anywhere these days where there are playgrounds. That sort of thing is frowned upon these days.

LOL. You are one funny son of a gun. I like it.

As for autoplay, I'm glad it's not in the game. For goodness sake, just save your progress. If you want to play a full game and don't have much time, then restrict yourself to a Twenty20 match. IMO, you don't deserve to play a Test Match, or even a one-dayer for that matter, if you choose not to bowl and simply "generate" an innings from the CPU.

Traditionally, this game known as cricket is supposed to take a long time...we're not playing rock-paper-scissors here!

100 % supporting u dude...bowling and feilding in blic 2005 rocks..so i dont see any point of auto play....

good there isnt an autoplay option, becasue now i can enjoy playing the whole test match and if i get bored i can save it :)... well done codies.

i like my autoplay........sometimes a test Match does get a little boring in both.. real life and game life.....

I dunno why peeps are criticising about the No Autoplay feature. If you have problem playing 50 overs, then play 20 Twenty matches....I'm sure that would still keep you entertained.
And if you are playing test matches, then use the Save feature.....you can't finish a test match in one sitting....

Having a no Autoplay feature means, coodies are really confident about bowling feature. I'm sure bowling will be as much as fun as batting.

I have an idea for people who don't have the time to bowl not the people who dont want to bowl

When you have played all the time you can (say 2 hours) save the game. This way you can pick up where you left off. So for those people who can only play one innings every day just save it after one innings and play the next innings when you can.

Don't be too harsh its just an idea. I definately know I'll be saving my game after a few hours of play. I mean is it really possible for someone to play 4 straight innings in one session of gaming?

This is in a way good. Now story writers can get through matches quickly in BLIC if they want to write story threads! Yay! I hope savhing the game and reloading it at a later time is available.

But it should be like if a wicket falls and the user tries to quit without saving to cheat the fall of the wicket, then it should save after the wicket had fallen so that the user cannot cheat!

Fantastic! When you have the Save feature, you can save in between to get breaks and then come back and reload the match again.

I feel Autoplay is a waste of a feature in Cricket 2004. I use it very rarely because Autoplay mostly gives unrealistic scores and it totally defies the purpose of creating such a complicated cricket video game!

I agree^^^^^^^^^^

Then again it wouldn't do no harm to put it in to shut up all those wingers!

As long as the bowling controls are good and you can actually get edges, and a fast bowler like lee can swing the ball im fine with no autoplay
