Watson? Id rather Symonds. And no Hogg either.
I'd have Watson over Symonds for bowling but Hogg I'm not certain whether he will be very effective on this pitch.

It was strange selection anyway. I don't see the point in resting so many of the major players. I mean they have had 5 months break, why do they need even more of a break.

looking to the future apparntly, I find its a pile of poo who cares about post-wc07 thats next year we need to focus on winning each game and slowly easing in talent, not half the side going for younger players who probley wont cut it at international level.
Jaques doesnt deserve his spot, neither does cullen or johnson. I hope Cosgrove is one of the few given the nod for the WC07

Jaques deserves his spot over Katich.

West Indies can surprise both India and Australia in this series even though they are treated as underdogs.

its looks to be west indies game if they continue like this in one day games they will have a chance at the world cup plus they are at home

Nice knock in the end by Gayle, very enjoyable to watch. Desperately needed wicket by the Aussies to at least stop the free flowing of the 2 windies batsmen.

I'm loving the improvement they have shown in both forms of the game in the oast few months. I can't wait till their tour to Pakistan. Too bad I won't be able to watch it.

And that's the end of Gayle. I certainly hope they don't screw up this great start.

Me too, they deserve the victory after this explosive start. They still have quality batsmen remaining so I expect them to see the total off.

Power play 3 is on, but the Windies are halfway there with 31 overs to go. Australia need a collapse from the Windies if they wanna win this.

Because, when all is said and done, noone will really care about the results of this series, so it's a good chance to give some players some match time. Australia haven't lost this game yet and a win with so many rookies would be a doubled return.

This still has some relevance to the big occasions as well, because the more match play these young guys get, the better the selectors will be able to determine who is more useful in what situation, in the event that their first choice is not available.
