- And NO, both cricketing boards have to agree on the ball being used in a series, so there is a LOT of care for the others.
In other news, will be out of this for November...NaNoWriMo is coming up, and damned if I'll fail this year. Just back from 9 days in the UK and I'm definitely going to win NaNo this year for the second time. (Google it.)
I'm counting on you guys to keep this thread going.
I have no idea about the Cricket laws but will try to give logical answer to this scenario. Once the ball is lost in crowd and replacement is used, I wouldn't use the lost ball, if I find it after some overs. Just because, it might be tampered by the fan or the actual condition of the ball might've been lost.A ball is hit for six into the crowd. For a few minutes the ball seems to have been stolen by an enthusiastic fan so you get a replacement ball. Three overs later you hear over your headset that the original ball has been found (and the offending party charged with larceny). Do you use the original ball or continue with the replacement and why?
Yep, I do accept cameras and mics on umpires. It will give transparency to the umpire's decision and at times when umpire is not able to give decision, the third umpire can take the umpire's camera angle to give the decision.Do you accept cameras and mics on umpires? Subjective question, no right or wrong answer here.
Whatever possibilities are available to get out from that particular ball is checked and the decision will be given, either out or not out.The fielding team appeals and reviews for a catch. The ball never hit the bat but the batsman seems to be plumb LBW. As the third umpire what do you say?

If they appeal within 15 seconds it’s ok?The review system is only valid on appeal. Let's say nobody appeals. The big screen shows a clear out. The fielding team then appeals. What then?
