Story Pakistan Go Down Under: Cricket 07!

Understand completely mate. It can be really annoying when you discover a really good patch, halfway through a match. Good luck with the next update though

Australia vs Pakistan, 1st Test Brisbane - Start Of Play!

Well the 1st Test has started (again lol) and the two teams seem to be in good nick with play just about to begin there is some nervous tension and nervous energy around the ground.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first so we'll see if they can get anything out of this wicket, it seems a really live wicket like most Brisbane ones are, offer help to the bowlers but batsman can make mince meat of the bowlers if they play on it properly...

Both teams have a decent set of line-up's Australia probably feel that their noses are ahead as far as the squad strenght goes and thats never a bad thing. Pakistan can look at their team with some pride as they fully believe this team can do the job. Although there was a small worry this morning Afridi was about to go out and Razzaq was coming in but Afridi confirmed that it was a tiny nigle.

Also no Mohammed Asif for Pakistan which is a big blow as he is out with an elbow injury but is set to be back sooner rather than later. The Australian team is as strong as ever and surley their crowd expect nothing less than a impressive win.

Well there are the miss-contrasted line-up card's, we are just about read for the first ball to be bowled in this series and it should be a cracker, Stuart Clark is the man getting ready to bowl and Salman Butt is the man getting ready to strike so let's get this started...

so its C04 now then? Hope you wont need to restart this story again lol! Great effort none the less. Is Asif out doe to the fact he isn't in C04?

Nice start mate, you're getting better graphics out of c04 than me!
boss's gameplay patch you using?

Australia vs Pakistan 1st Test, Day One - Lunch Break Update!

Well where do we begin, were sure that Australia will feel their ahead right about now as Pakistan just scampered to 100 off the last ball of the session. Now then let's fill you all in on how it went...

Butt and Nazir were looking solid for a good 45mins or so Butt was playing his strokes whilst Nazir was finding it hard, and he was dismissed by Clark for 8 and the first wicket of the summer fell as Nazir attempted to play across the line and was completly un-done and will know his mistake by now...

Salman Butt was then the next to make his way back to the pavillion this wicket shook the Pakistani's pretty badly as it happend not far after Nazirs wicket, also a miss-judged stroke played along the wrong line to a very tricky delivery and it undone him once again another bowled.

Butt was looking in good touch he was the one scoring the bulk of the runs for Pakistan as Imran struggled a lot maybe the test arena will cause problems with him and this causes me problems for the PCB but concentrating on the match Butt looks in good nick so if he can stop mistakes like this happening in the second innings he should make something more than what he did...

Now then to one of the best balls we'll see all summer and it was from non other than Suart Clark who went through all that comparison with replacing McGrath and what not but he's surley someone who hasn't got their word cut out for them he's bowling magnificently. Got two scalps already and the second one was a peech.

Pakistan had build a good partnership towards the end of the session Malik and Younus were going well it was the 2nd to last over befor Lunch and Clark came back into the attack and got the wicket of Younus who was looking to leave the ball. What was so special about this delivery was that it pitched way outside offstump and nipped in like heck, Younus stood there after watching the ball cannon into the stumps and he gave Clark a nod of appreciation because it was a fantastic delivery. Pakistan are reeling and they need their master batsman Yousuf to play a solid Innings like he has done so many times in the past, Shoaib Malik could do with a capitains knock too...

Phew well thats the wickets over with, so some work to do for Pakistan eh? I'm sure that wicket befor Lunch will put them under a lot of pressure but they should be able to handle it pretty nicley, Malik is set and Yousuf has hit a tradmark four with his first ball so things can't be that bad. Although Shoaib Malik has been living dangerously and he could have been back in the pavillion a few times. He must still have a tired eye because some of the 'leaves' he's been playing are painfully close to the stumps for example....

Well what matters is he's still out there so we'll see what Pakistans aproach after Lunch will be they'll like to bat the day out and bat most of tommorow so that means no loss of wickets but it's not easy with a side like Australia bowling to you.

So our conclusion is that Australia will have to momentum especially now that they have that late wicket its a big wicket of Younus Khan they still seemed on top befor as they stop Pakistan scoring too rapidly and put them under pressure, but now it's up to Pakistan seniors to lead them to the safeboat, stay tuned...

wow havent seen cricket 2004 in AGES...nice to bring it back

Wow great presentation man!
Pakistan are in an okay position.

Hey umm how do you change the resilution?
Cheers:)

Australia are bowling great and Clark and Lee have both bowled beautifully, both breaking their backs. Good stuff!

Pakistan lost 3 wickets in the first session which is not a good thing when you are batting first. They need a big partnership between Yousuf and Malik. Aussies bowling well and nice to see Clark given the new ball. Nice graphics and you have given a new look to C04. Nice presentation. :)

Salman was lucky that ball missed his ****.

Younus and Malik were even luckier seeing as you spent the rest of the session not playing a shot at dangerous deliveries aimed at that spot.

Speaking of Salmans and Lunds, I thought that World XI v Australia super test was worth watching for one reason, Murali v Hayden.

Hayden was beaten by the doosra and got hit in the ****.

Next ball Haydos padded up to a ball pitching outside leg and got hit right up the Salman, giving new meaning to the term "dot ball".
