X should be dropped... why isnt Y playing... didnt Z do a terrible job? He should be dropped... thats what the subcontinent people do everytime they play a match. EVERY FREAKING TIME. I dont care if Butt plays or Umar or Hameed.. all I want is some consistency. Maybe if the player know their necks are not on the chopping block, they may able to show us some results. What if Atapattu had been discarded after two or three tests? Saeed Anwar made a pair in his first test. Reason enough to drop him? Pakistanis do that all the time, and looks like Indians do this all the time too from the discussions here. Give someone a decent run, and then discuss who is not good enough.
And someone earlier said Naved should be dropped and Khalil in his place. The heart that Naved has shown has not been evident in Pakistani teams for maybe a decade. I would drop Inzimam, Youhana and Younis before I drop Naved.

ok so in short you would prefer the same XI :) :boxing
Hell no, I would drop Younis for that fuc*king stupid shot. ;) Honestly, if he was an Aussie, he would not be in the team for the next five years at least.

And change your bloody signature, you know you are just doing it to pi*ss me off! :D

Yep, Pakistan need to sort out their bowling and mainly their fielding. It's all good chopping and changing your batsmen and bowlers but EVERY player of the team should be able to take catches. And it's not like they are difficult catches--they are dollies at gully which are just grassed. Pakistan bowled pretty well--they didn't create many chances but they didn't take the ones they created.

If he was an aussie he wouldnt be playing test cricket
You know what I meant by that comment. I am not suggesting that he is better than any of your current players (or even your second XI maybe), I am just saying that this has kinda been the policy of the Australian team that if the player make stupid mistakes they damn well pay for them.

I think Afridi has an outside chance of making in the XI. For India mostly Zaheer is out and Bhajju in.

Afridi can make an impact in the game if he is picked. He is a hitter and is a above average leg spin bowler and if the Eden wicket helps the spinners, Afridi can be a handful along with Kaneria!

What is Salman Butt doing out there?? Does he have any great performances to speak for?? I think Taufeeq Umar and Yasir Hameed can open may be (one more combination!).

Taufeeq Umar was strugging to stay alive in that game! Salman looked more confident and plus you cant judge a player on his frist test game agaist India. for example Rana frist i thought was c***, but he showed me hespretty good. even best players cant continue to perform match after match. :)

India needs to be more positive in scoring runs. Had Indians played fast on day 3 then India might have had an outside chance of chasing the target set by Pak.
India needs to keep up the momentum built by Sehwag (if he does it again). Laxman seems to be in good form and must be promoted even if it means that Sachin Tendulkar and Ganguly have to move one slot down in batting order. Sehwag, Dravid and Laxman were the only batsmen who looked positive and in form. Sachin might have scored 94 but it was an painfully laborious effort.

2nd Test Stumps Day 1

India won the toss and elected to bat first

India 1st Inning 344/6 (Sehwag 81, Tendulkar 52, Dravid 110)

Dravid getting out on the last ball of the day (or what happened to be the last ball of the day) :( :(. It was a good day for India but good bowling by Pakistan too. At least they saw some sense and brought Afridi into the team. I'm not sure I agree with Khalil replacing Naved-ul-Hasan, though. Naved was far from effective with the ball but he has the luck, while he can slog it around a bit too.
