yeah Excellent series though I must say Pakistan got more +ve out of it than India.
You guys might still get some positives out of it if you fire that arrogant idiot.. oh whats his name... Sauron..? Saruman..?? Sourav..? Whatever...

Wishful thinking, mate. But he is on his last string. The crowd at Bangalore completely booed him when his name was called.

coming back to the game did the wicket change so much from late in day 4 when Inzy and Younis were scoring at more than 4/over to Dravid and Sachin getting to 16 in 60,90 odd balls :noway and the middle order was removed by Afridi of all bowlers :mad

going with draw but uptill belive on mearicles . if pakistan got india out under 50 runs and then played with a high momentum that means play strongly and score 200--230 and then declared before end of days play,it will be challenge india on 5th day as this pitch has got a turn for spinners little bit but it will effective more on day 4 and 5, so belive it that will give pakistan a winning chance.

well guys how about my 20th march prediction

Australia nudged someone like Steve Waugh out... who the hell is Ganguly compared to Waugh? Just dump him.. Either Yuvraj or Kaif would be more than enough to replace him. Give the captaincy to Sehwag. He wouldnt care...

By the way, Pakistan's morale would be high now for the ODIs.

Dude this is the BCCI. We have trouble giving out television rights and you think we can just change our captain like that? We are anything but radical--it was radical for us to hire a foreign coach. And yes Pakistan will have a high for the ODI, especially since they are better at ODIs than India. This will really give them a razor-sharp edge.

No it wasn't. It was India's negative strategy. Once you close up your game, you are looking to defend everything. That is (a) against your natural game and (b) brings the close-in fielders. As one of the commentators accurately brought up, even the close-in fielders gain more confidence (less flinching, etc.) because the batsmen aren't even playing shots. India contributed to their downfall as much as the Pakistani bowlers did. Perhaps even more. It was a faulty strategy but they have to pay the price for it...

Ya agree with him Pak earned lot of positives, I think India have reduced their confidence from this series. i cant tell how this will affect their odi performance.

I feel sorry for ganguly with poor batting form, but he has to do something, may be play with two bats

One of the weakest if not the weakest team travelling to India for a series and they have pulled of a test win and a series draw, the team is getting stronger and now I defenitely feel positive that Pakistan can develop the team from here and get to level of performance they had in the 90s. I hope Woolmer's plans don't stagnate as so many others before him have done, they just haven't gone on from a big result.

I believe Pakistan has a stronger 1 day side than India and they should secure a 1 day series win, anything less would be dissapointing.

Congratulations to Pakistan!!! Ganguly should not be in the squad next time India play a Test match. India lost :crying :crying :crying

do you guys think ganguly will be kept in ODI against pakistan

Superb win for Pakistan. This should mean a lot to them. This should be equal to the one where India levelled 1-1 against Australia in Australia in 2003. No one predicted them to do this well but they've done it. Hats off to them. If Gul comes in and Malik corrects his action, Pakistan have a great team that can win consistently. May be, they can relegate Inzamam to a player and make Younis Khan the captain coz Younis Khan has an aggressive attitude on the field.

Now to India, man what an awful display is this?? I was saying this lot of times - when you get defensive, you send the wrong signals to the opposition and they increase their attack and somehow get you out. Attack was the best weapon yesterday and even Sehwag was not his usual attacking self though when he was out there, the run rate hovered at around 4 per over.

Ganguly needs to be shot out of the team temporarily. I feel really pained seeing his performance. I was once a very huge fan of this Bengal tiger who is now reduced to a rat. Only when the captain performs does the team perform even better and always be positive. The Indian selectors need to sit down and take some harsh decisions before it gets too late. I dont know what decision they should take but a decision that has to benefit Indian cricket.

Tendulkar has also to be blamed partly for this. I know lot here are staunch fans of his but they must also be knowing how staunch a fan am I of him. 16 off 98 balls??? Is that a test match batting??? Look at Anil Kumble. He ha scored 37 off 52 balls at a run rate of over 4 runs per over and he is not out. This aptly shows India should have played attacking cricket to defend themselves. This is one of the poorest innings from Sachin and i say again, he should start playing his natural attacking cricket to be the same feared batsman that he was once upon a time!

This is really heart breaking to see such a performance and I sincerely hope this does not happen again. Nothing to lose hope totally over the team which has done well before but we just cant rest on past laurels. We have to move ahead and I feel the first step is to show the door (at least temporarily!) for our captain Saurav!

I think he might be retained for the ODI series though I dont favor that also!

he needs to be given some sort of a shock treatment!!!

Great Victory Pakistan! Congrats! But whatever the whole forum says, I am 100 percent sure that Ganguly's goin nowhere if he aint dropped in this ODI series... I mean if he is selected in this ODI series(captain or not), then he will be the captain when India play the next test... and don't listen to Shahid... when he says Dudh-shudh should be the next Indian captain, he's making sure that India don't pull off another series victory in Pakistan next year... :)

btw, I understand if ppl can't digest loss well... I am one of those... but what's up with this Wasim Bari... Pakistan have done what many teams in the past have yearned to do but failed and yet he's not satisfied with Woolmer... guyz i tell u sack Woolmer in one month's time... by that time, the Indian job will be open... :)

btw lost a big chunk of rep points that i had bet on india... blame it on - poor bowling in both innings, bad strategy on the last day and if u want an individual blame then - my fav captain - Ganguly...

but I think one man who deserves more hatred(not pertaining to the loss but overall) than Ganguly is Laxman... I think he should be told that the moment he doesn't score a 50 he's gonna be dropped and then lets see if any bowler in the world can get him out before he crosses that mark... as soon as he ensured that his 81 had been taken notice of, he let down his guard...

hope India do put up a fight in the ODI's... and hope Bari succeeds in sacking Woolmer by the second ODI... :D
