Afridi was magnificent, but I would give equal credit to Rana Naved. This guy is unbelievable in his determination and heart. I am very afraid that given Pakistan selection's past record, once Akhtar, Umer Gul and Shabbir Ahmed are fully fit, he will be dropped, and that will be a massive injustice.

My prediction still holds true. WOW!! India will win the next match. All the disgruntled Indian fans will be dancing in joy once again for a team that drew the Test Series and very nearly lost ODI series.

More problems for India. They do not have to worry too much about Shahid Afridi as this is a guy who on his day can dismantle any attack but on another day can look like a pauper. They have to worry about their own inconsistent batting and their bowling under pressure.

I think the Sehwag effect will fully come into play next match. This guy is due for some big runs.
Well Done Afridi! I knew he would click big time in at least one match. Afridi must have loved that Nehra was not in the squad. Nehra has been expensive but taking wickets. Khan has been economical but but never seems to look like he will take a wicket.

awesome victory for pak. Afridi made teh difference, for the first time, but in a murderous style. 45 ball ton! Indian batting was mediocre and could not play within themselves. Pakistan batting though was mature, looks like the Aussie tour will help every team

They bowled well as well, for india khan/kumble looked reasonable. It all comes to Delhi now, what should be a very interesting game. Can india pull it out this time? Can pak. win the series this time? and take revenge for 2004?

Team changes, i think india will want to bring nehra in and may be agarkar for someone.

Before the start of this tour Pakistan were written off by cricket experts all over the world as they should have been bcuz Pakistan had a hard tour of Australia, they were down & out ,having the most fragile bowling line up ever to tour India & the opening combination never did goods. On the other hand Indian line up was full & fit. Indian lineup is called a start studded line up & quiet rightly so but how well this young team of Pakistan under Inzi have deliver goods for their fans. Every one did their part right from Kamran Akmal's & Razzaq's match saving partnership in first test to Afridi's magic in 5th ODI. As I write this on this day Pakistan has tied the test series 1-1 & is one up in ODI's i.e 3-2 with one ODI to go. Even if ODI series turn out to be a draw still Pakistan should consider this tour as

I think most of the world expected Pakistan to win the ODI series since they are a better ODI team. This changed after India's 2-0 lead. So in that regard Pakistan have done very well. Apart from that, they have been following the script. It's a funny game, cricket.

i agree but i don't think pakistan were "written off". Rather, indians held the favourites tag and the difference between the too teams was not high though. Indians lost or rather pakistan won because of committment and consistency. India's consistency is known and they have to work hard to even think about rank 2 position in the test level.

But yea, even if the next match is won by india, this tour belongs to pakistan.

Yes Pak did play well but India lost by just one session in banglore and the odi's are going as expected though

Well sohimmisra i dont agree with the fact that Pakistan being a better ODI unit then India considering that India has star studded batting lineup, probably the best opening pair,one of the most aggresive captian, Kaif and yuvraj has set new standards in the field for India & abt 90% of the team can bowl; wht else they want more. Pakistani players on the otherhand may not have same statistics in batting(except inzi), bowling & fielding but their self believe & playing together as a team has certainly done the trick.
The fact of this young pakistani lineup being called a vry good ODI side was all started from VB series where they won 1 match against australia & thretened them in finals.
Whtever the case is Pakistan did wht was unexpected of them. They certainly r the most unpredictable team in world but signs of consistency could now be seen.
As I said in my previous post wht ever the outcome of final odi is but for Pakistan:
