I think both aggressive players, they are similar but not same,

I think there is more pressure on sehwag than on Afridi and so i think Afridi can bat any way as he like, Sehwag has become an hero these days and thats the pressure to score runs

durrani's being realistic...Sehwag and Afridi are not comparable by any yardstick...Sehwag puts so much disguised thought in the way he bats or wants to bat...Afridi won't be able to put that in his batting in his lifetime...Sehwag has lesser muscle power and vehemence than Afridi...moreover Wright knows Sehwag is not a gamble if in the right frame of mind, Afridi is always a gamble...

just made a new sig to pep up the Indian fans` spirits ! Did u people like it

is this a compliment to afridi or sehwag?? i would afridi comes nowehere near the technical brilliance of sehwag!!! Sehwag is a better batsman than Afridi anyday!! Afridi can be a more powerful hitter than Sehwag but not a powerful batsman than Sehwag

Sehwag is a class.
I would concider Afridi to be a stronger Balaji.
Afridi just hits every ball just like Balaji,if the ball gets caught it goes for 6 or if it misses he is bowled and stumps go for 6.

But who cares it is entertaining to watch Afridi bat.

Guys I think we have much discussion about Afridi and Sehwag. Now let's talk about what' going to happen... I want my des India to win tomorrow. They have to win......

technical brilliance of sehwag--my foot! at least afridi moves his feet and some times plays a ground shot beautifully than any one.whenever afridi scores 50 odd or anything near it pak always wins. This means afridi is a match winner as a whole. He can bat down the order away from asia and can take up to the attack while opening the inning in asia and sharjah.(Like sachin) sehwag even scores 100 india not always sure to win. Afridi has a Unique eye he can pull and hook, but sehwaq is strong on the sqaure of the off side.Sehwag does'nt have brave heart to blast Macgrawth and lee at the end and at any stage of the game.Sehwag cant hook and pull the fast bowler.the only flaw in afridi is he selects bad shot on some good balls. He is an attacking player and always wants to attack the bowlers in that way he gives his wicket away.

right indian fellow! these facts are not wrong I dont want to protect afridi but to justify his importence.

one word to describe that post `It sucks` . absolute rubbish posted there by durrani . I wonder , why he has that much apathy towards sehwag and India

No one is trying to suggest momentarily that Afridi is not important. I was the first person to be surprised when Pakistan played around with him in the first years of this millennium. Afridi has always in my mind been a very strong batsman and one I thoroughly enjoy watching. He is my favorite non-Indian cricketer. I was very disappointed when Pakistan dropped him for the team and when they had him in the team and sent him in at number 9. A complete waste of talent.

Match-winners: Afridi is as good as they come. He scores his runs quickly, lifts the spirit of the team and can change the state of the match within a few balls. He can also put in a good bowling spell or two and thus aid in that effect too. He is a great player. The only thing lacking, of course, is consistency. However, he has performed very consistently in this tour. This may be a career-changing tour for him, like Hayden's 2001 tour of India was.

Now addressing the India + Sehwag problem. Sehwag cannot be blamed as a non match-winner if his team just falls down like a pack of cards when he performs. He bats so well that his whole team is in awe of him. Or whatever happens to them they come in and gift their wickets away. It's a tough problem that needs to be addressed and solved. If Sehwag can notch up any sort of consistency in ODI cricket and the rest of India's batsmen can also put in decent efforts, half the deal will be done (batting). But the bigger reason why Sehwag's efforts aren't rewarded with victories is that India's bowling attack lacks teeth. Pathan seemed to have changed that but now he is as bland as mashed potatoes.

As for your comments regarding Sehwag's shot-making, I give you a chance to take it back. Apart from the short-ball on the stumps, Sehwag can get rid of any ball to the boundary. He has beautiful drives--back foot and front foot. His cutting is unparalleled. He can uppercut the ball for six. He can sweep the ball for six. He can loft the ball for six. He just applies himself more which is his style--Afridi's style is bang, bang, bang (6-6-oops). Both succeed at what they do so let's just sit back and enjoy the show.

EDIT: The above post was in response to durrani's post
