Pakistan was pretty unlucky, They lost most of their key players before the worldcup and hence they couldn't put the best 11. Although according to our norm we'll never prepare for the next worldcup but we have lots of youngsters who can be groom for the next 4 years.
Batting although very weak mainly because most of these batsmen never played in Australia or New Zealand before. Sarfraz, Harris looked very good but both of them are very limited batsmen and need some work. Sohaib so far looked like a slogger with no footwork and probably will not play many matches in next 4 years. Shehzad again don't have the technique to be successful in difficult or bouncy conditions but I guess Pakistan should keep him as opener and he should learn to rotate the strike early on. Fawad Alam will play for Pakistan specially after Misbah and Younis. So these are some of the players Pakistan should groom for the next worldcup.
Openers: Ahmed Shahzad, Sarfraz Ahmed, Sami Aslam, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam
Middle order: Harris Sohail, Fawad Alam, Asad Shafique, Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal
Allrounders: Other then Hammad Azam I don't see any other genuine young allrounder
Fast Bowlers: There are too many but Pakistan must take care of Wahab, Junaid, Aamir, Rahat, Zia-ul-Haq, Sadaf Hussain, probably we need to find few right hand genuine fast bowlers
Spinners: Again there are many but Yasir Shah, raza hassan are must for future, probably we need to find another doosra or carom ball bowler.
Captain as always a tricky position in Pakistan team but I guess its the time to have different captains for different formats. Wahab, Sarfraz should be captain and vice captain in ODIs. Misbha should groom either Azhar Ali, Sarfraz as test captain and Shahid should groom Shahzad, Sarfraz or Umar Akmal for T20s. We have lots of talent and good bench strength but we need some system otherwise we'll only see few bowlers but no good batsman.
If everything goes to the plan although pretty rare in Pakistan's case then we will have the best bowling attack for T20 WC 2016. A bowling line consisting of Wahab, Aamir, Junaid, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi and Muhammad Hafeez is pretty tough to handle on indian pitches and apart from Ajmal and Junaid rest can bat a bit too and are good fielders.
