Well that will be unlikely because whoever is in Power always put one of their people in charge, that's Pakistani politics for you. Both of them are older than Pakistan. We really need a breath of fresh air at the moment.

How come they do not wish to play in Karachi or Rawalpindi rather than just in Lahore? Is it unsafe there?Sri Lanka 'keen' to visit Pakistan for T20s in September - ESPN Cricinfo
Some potentially good news for us. Shows the importance of the PSL final being played in Lahore. Hopefully, this happens and leads to greater things for the country, especially bringing back cricket to places like Sailkot, Karachi, Multan etc.

Our captain is from Karachi. Not unsafe there. I would assume because the PCB headquarters are in Lahore and a lot of political figures, cricketing heads (e.g. Najam Sethi) and players are from the Punjab district.
Totally unrelated to anything being discussed here right now.
But has anyone ever wondered why Saeed Bin Nasir was never given a test cap at least once during his long career?
Totally understand, can't get my head around that either, but that is the here and now. Selector's whims and politics are a constant issue. Why is Fawad Alam not in the team with an FC average of 55+?
This is Pakistan cricket, stuff like this happens on a daily basis.

Just looking for opinions on a player whose career spanned nearly two decades and was only given two call-ups against Bangladesh without ever being given at least a chance.
Idk what the coaching staff did to Shehzad's game lol. He looked so promising when he started out as an explosive fresh-faced teenager but someone had the bright idea to turn him into a snail. Both him and Akmal I think need to take a break from international cricket for a while. Umar Akmal has been a let down on too many occasions.Fully agree. There are a bunch of young cricketers that get one series then back to domestic cricket for life. (E.g. Saad Nasim, Aamir Yamin etc.)
I guess it is what happens when Pakistan have such a volatile set-up. Currently, we are struggling to bring in decent ODI chaser and keep going to failed options. One good domestic season and Ahmed Shehzad will be back, Umar Akmal will come back in a bit and maybe even his brother. That's one of our biggest issues for us.
Shah is a tried and tested flop in greens. Shadab is the future.Which squad do you think is likely to be taken on the upcoming tour to New Zealand? Who do you reckon Pakistan will go with as a spin option, Shadab or Shah?
Will be a world class bowler. Also energic in the field, and committed to fitness. He's a key player, less than an year into the side.Opinions on Hasan Ali?

Shame about the NOCs being revoked early. Amir was ripping it apart at Essex as well. Was looking forward to seeing how Fakhar Zaman would do at Somerset too.
If this World XI tour revives cricket in Pakistan it'll be worth it though.
