I have.[DOUBLEPOST=1518865507][/DOUBLEPOST]He has variations and is a very tricky bowler. Bowled Khurram Manzoor with a slider in the final, who had been in top form.
Let's see how he does in PSL.

Good to see Akthar being appointed as Brand Ambassador and Advisor for PCB. He is a very level headed person. I have seen plenty of his interviews on tv and unlike few ass lickers who turn bashers during win loss situation Akhtar provides meaningful insights. Also he is very well respected as well. Now get Misbah/Younis or Afridi on board as well. Pakistan youngsters always are denied of guidance otherwise there is a lot of talent. Umar Akmal is a very good example of talent that got waster because of no proper guidance.

Pakistan is scheduled to play 5 ODIs in England in 2019, just before the WC. Should be ideal preparation

That's great but the thing is Pakistan is most lethal when go unprepared and cornered :)

PS: Anyone can guide where is the PSL thread here?

Look at the reply by great Inzamam. A Rare clip. Ambrose vs Inzamam right there in West indies. Ian Chappell once said that Inzy is just behind Lara and Tendulkar but he never gets the credit for being so good. Anyhow. If it is allowed enjoy this clip here

He ain't even performing in ODIs and T20's apart from a couple of heroics against India, He hasn't delivered what was expected from his comeback. Guess 5 years time is enough to make you rusty. He bowls well in important matches but in normal matches he appears not so focused to get wickets. The drop catching is just a lame excuse, Wasim Akram had the most dropped catches yet he used to get out batsmen via bowled or LBWs. Great going bowlers don't make such excuses.

Having said that, I must add that its a sad story as its too early in his career. He is leaving tests because he couldn't make up any mark since his return while he was very much needed to perform in test matches to strike specially in the overseas pitches of England, Australia and South-Africa but he failed to deliver...

M Amir has lost it. If he will not play tests that means he was not the old Amir he used to be. Right decision from him I guess

True but test cricket makes players. Test is the toughest competition and real test for batsmen and bowlers. If his age is really under 30 he should have continued to play test matches with an ambition to improve his performance. Test bowling is an art and when you master that art then you are successful in any other cricket format. The purpose of cricketers should be win matches for their countries rather than just going for commercial benefits

Yeah any players who can't play test matches isn't a great player overall, we need players that are good in the longer format games.
